This isn’t directed at you in any way, but he has a kid this year and also slumped in the second half and somehow we all took this huge leap that it’s because his mind is always on his kid at home and I have no idea why this thing just got legs like crazy. Players slump.

Yeah, that narrative is ridiculous.

I know Snell has been dealing like crazy, but we have the tying run at the plate in every single AB. It just takes one mistake…

Vaughn's defense has been better than advertised

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

My first time ever on this site bringing it up. Also said haha at the end. Miss his power more than anything, more of a joke based around “dad strength”. sensitive crowd

I was hoping we could at least lose twice before all the "we need to fix baseball" hot takes come in. I get it. Baseball isn't fair and it is stupid. But it's one game. This was always going to be an unlikely favorable outcome. I'll just point out that (this game isn't yet over btw) the Brewers won Game 1 in 2011 and 2018.

We beat the Cubs. I'm good. I hope we at least make this fun.

His all around play for us has been All-Star level.

They won't.  Or more precisely put, they'll try to be asking for a cap.  The MLBPA won't give on that issue.  Never have before so I'm not sure why it'd be different now.  When the owners cave (they always cave) they won't get a cap and they won't do anything about deferred money without one.

I'd be inclined to agree and it's obviously not apples to apples but the NBA owners changed the apron rules without securing a ton from the players, in spite of the fact that it is overly punishing of teams willing to spend. I never overlook the willingness of rich guys to try to protect themselves from having to over spend. Why wouldn't the Dodgers overpay more players to do similar? Everyone won't take it but some will and that ultimately can't be good for the television product long term, every sport gets sick of the dynasty eventually.

Feel like if the top of the order can't get something here, the game is over.

Turang or Vaughn could always turn on one too, if it's still a 1 run game.

It's not like we're getting beat 20-0.  We need to get one.

It’s right there for the taking

I'm just glad we aren't going to have to look for a 1B in the off season...

No one is being sensitive, literally first thing that was said was that it wasn’t directed at you, it was said because this narrative is brought up nearly every day on this board.

They did, but I don't think the owners have the will or creativity in a more meaningful way than what they already have.  They've reluctantly agreed to a cap stance for a generation, but when they goes out the window you've got owners in LA and NY who are more than willing to capitalize on their financial advantages and tell everyone else to go to hell.

This game is following a very similar trajectory to the M's-Jays Gm1...

Snell is just so nasty right now.

But, as you said, one AB.
