Likely so little that... it really doesn't make sense to trade him.

I'd rather give him a shot when we need a LHed bat at some point this year(provided he earns it) than flip him for another guy with little to no value.

That's my take on it. If Arnold has a guy he likes that he's been watching, maybe he can use Black and turn him into a Collins type player. But... as it stands, just keep him. Put him in AAA. Let him play some LF, CF, 1B, 3B, 2B... all over(but mostly 1B/LF) and see if he can hit. I suppose... mostly LF given Adams and Wilken should be in AAA.

Oswald Peraza, Gabriel Arias, , Ronny Mauricio, , Jace Jung

I think the only one of those four guys that you could trade Tyler Black straight up for would be Peraza, and I've got no interest in getting that guy in a trade.  The other three....not happening (at least not at this moment in time).

I think Lloyd has a really good list.   That is what I was hoping a poster would do.   Kudos buddy.   Yeah we might to attach a Wichowski (hopefully less) to Black but this is something that should be done.   Black for a Mauricio or Jung with us adding a minor league pitcher as low on the totem pole as we can do.

Arias might be around that value point, but only if he is being pushed off their roster by Bazzana and/or Brito in spring training. But, yah, probably not now.

Edouard Julien, however his 1st/2nd versatility doesn't interest me. Will Wagner would be a guy that I would bet on rejuvenating himself that could be close in value.

Is Tyler Black out of options? If not, there’s no need to trade him. They would be selling him at a low point, and AAA will need players anyways.

They have only used one of three options on him yet. There’s no reason to trade him at this point unless somebody’s going to give you something really good back.

He has used 2 of his 3 option years so only one option year remaining.

This is my problem with the BA top 100 prospect list. This kids been on the top 100 list more than one a year and yet he's actually useless in a trade, useless at the Major League level, and useless in the field.

On the other hand, his time in Milwaukee doesn't sound like a good fit. It definitely looks like we're trying to put a fish in a tree and his differentiation and better value would be found on another roster.

Saying he's "useless at the Major League level," seems... wildly premature. He had a injury plagued year last season, he was hurt when there was an opening. He got limited opportunities, but he'll get on base.

I don't think he's useless in the field, I think he's actually a fine fit in LF. He's athletic and he has incredible plate discipline. He's just not a 3B and... we'll probably never know if he could have played 2B because we're pretty well set there.

So LF, 1B, DH. Not every top 100 prospects clicks right away. Quinn Priester didn't.

Also, top 100 lists are a.... nice guideline. There's no sport harder to project than Baseball. You're taking guys who are 16 to 21 when they sign to play MLB ball and grading them all together.

He was also on the BA, MLB and Baseball Prospectus top 100 list. So... not just one. He's got elite plate discipline and he can hit. I think we give him 2026, see where we are.

I can see your point also these MILW lists have more to do with the drafting and development of other names rather than just TBlack falling. It was telling that he did not get a sniff of a call up when Lockridge was acquired. He is not getting any younger and as others have stated he has a very low trade value.

But I am willing to see what 2026 brings.
