I think they're making one more run with Stafford and will blow it up next year.

But you can't be all in this year AND draft a QB in the first round!

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

PS Signings have commenced. Nyjalik Kelly is back. Love him as an Edge prospect CB Domani
Jackson back as well looking to evolve his game (did not look the part fresh returned from injury). S Mark Perry has left the building - I would too after that camp - he deserves an opportunity.

Cowboys cut QB Joe Milton. I thought he was going to end up a decent NFL QB. Guess not.

I guess accuracy is important...

Doubs with a stellar zero catches and one critical drop on three targets.

Yeah, Doubs had a brutal debut. Apparently, he was a decoy to get Mack Hollins open. Who knew?!? IF Love had the game Drake Maye had he would be eviscerated. He would be absolutely piled on. J-Love is so much better than people realize.

Actually somewhat relevant due to the time zone differences.  6:20PM start in Seattle is a 9:20PM start in Boston.

Night games on the east coast start at 8:15. It doesn't make a difference. The travel might for a game mid year.

If I were the Rams I'd be pissed I had to play a designated home game on a neutral site against a divisional rival.

They may have been instrumental in this game happening, and appear to have almost volunteered.  They did not, however, necessarily want to play the 49ers.

A funny thing happened on the way to a certain Super Bowl championship.

It was a stupid column and an almost impossible thing to do, but I am not discounting the success the Rams will have just yet. I think there's enough concerns with how old the team is to see them flame out terribly, but I've seen a lot of weird stuff happen in Week 1 before.

Yeah, all I've heard is how old the 49ers are, but Matt Stafford is 38, Garrett is 30 and Donald is 35 and hasn't played a football game in 33 months. The Rams are not going to get the same Donald they had before his retirement, they just aren't. Of course they'll make the playoffs barring an injury plagued season, but if given a choice between them and the field in the NFC to make the Super Bowl, I'm taking the field.

Donald might help some this year, but is probably more hype than substance at this point.  He was dropping off quickly the last two years he played... and that was 3 years ago.  Having 2 years off might have helped his health, but it comes at the expense of keeping his body in peak physical shape.  The margins are razor thin at the highest level of any professional sport.

I'm pretty sure by the end of the year, he will have minimal or negative impact for the team.

Does McVay always shout at the top of his lungs when he talks?

Listening to coaches talk about their team or the team's performance is about the last thing I like to do (only listening to politicians is worse). I can't remember the last time I listened to a post-game discussion by the coaches or players.
