High-A Wisconsin has the early game today, with a chance to clinch the 5-game series win or fall into a 2-2 tie. 20-year old RHP Bryce Meccage (6.2 IP, 3 R, 4 H, 8 BB, 4 Ks) makes his 3rd start. Terrific SS Luis Pena has a 7-game hitting streak.

Why is Josh holding the bat right-handed in this photo?

Ugh. Eric Bitonti had been the only Timber Rattler to play first base over the first 11 games (85 innings), but Juan Baez got an opportunity today. Tayden Hall was the presumed back-up before being promoted to AA 4 days ago, but only saw time in the outfield.

And Baez just dropped a ball which would have been Bryce Meccage's final batter and the 3rd out of the 4th inning. Instead it loaded the bases and Jesus Flores came on in relief: 4-pitch run scoring walk, followed by Flores himself dropping a ball at first base to allow in another run.

Wisconsin and Peoria are tied 2-2 to this point.

Based on a comment on Nashville's Game Center page, it appears RHP Easton McGee will lead a bullpen game today. This follows the recall of Carlos Rodriguez to the Brewers. I'm not sure about Robert Gasser's availability (last played on April 10 and March 27).

The AA Shuckers have dropped 3 consecutive games at Columbus and look to RHP Jaron DeBerry (10 IP, 2 R, 11 Ks in 2 starts) to turn the tide. DH Mike Boeve needs to pull out of a 1-for-23 slump.

It’s a bullpen game led by RHP Easton McGee for AAA Nashville as they aim to grab a 5th straight home win over Worcester. 21-year old CF Luis Lara is batting .391 with a 1.043 OPS thru 75 PAs.

For the second day in a row, I timed a live MiLB TV visit well. Got home from church, popped on the bottom of the 9th in Appleton (those fans looked freezing!) with the T-Rats down 7-6, and saw a Cardinals farm club meltdown and hand Wisconsin a walk-off win on a wild pitch.

Low-A Wilson can take a 3-2 home series lead over Hill City with a win behind LHP Andrew Healy (3.1 IP, 6 R, 4 Ks in 2 outings) tonight. DH Luiyin Alastre has a 10-game on-base streak and 5-game hitting streak.

Adamczewski has already matched his homerun total from last year.  When he, Fischer, Dinges, and Pena inevitably join Biloxi, that could be an all-time lineup assuming Made and Burke are still there.

Love the current small samples we are seeing at the dish from a healthy Eduardo Garcia and, out of the Blue, a sudden renaissance for Darrien Miller. It appears Miller caught wind of 2025 Matt Wood and stole his thunder. Unfortunately they are a combined 2-for-40 CS 🙃

It's crazy to see Juan Baez at only 20 years old still. It seems like he has been around forever. Its nice to see Jett get a strong game in. If he can string some together he might be able to force the big league team to give him a shot.

Good to see him doing more damage while improving his contact. I think there's a good chance we see him in Nashville by second half of the season even though it's kind of crowded up there?

I'm buying up all of the Dylan O'Rae stock I can find right now.

Showing some pop today. That would make him a super well rounded players if that continues.
