Adamczewski, Dinges, Fischer rewarded for Friday with days off, while Payne, Dickinson and Bitonti return.

Owens looks like a hell of a find. If the stat line doesn’t jump out and get you excited, it’s worth noting he was placed in Wisconsin, a more aggressive assignment than where several college arms drafted ahead of him have started or are expected to start. That speaks volumes.

Braylon Payne with yet another HR. Line drive screamer to RF off a LHP. 2-4 day with a hustle double on a hard hit liner and the HR. Just an absurd start to the season for the kid.

If Braylon Payne is now a power hitter, feel like that changes things A LOT. His prospect status should be taking off with his tools.

Swing and miss not exactly where you want, but not really out of control for his age.

LHP Robert Gasser (4.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 15.0 K/9 in 9.0 IP) returns for his first action since April 10, as AAA Nashville needs to sweep today’s doubleheader at Charlotte to even up the series 3-3. LF Eddys Leonard (.987 OPS in 84 PAs) has an 8-game hitting streak and bashed 2 homers yesterday.

I'm not an expert on weight distribution through the swing ... but Payne seems to be heavy on his front foot at contact? Can someone who watches swing mechanics more comment on that? His home run yesterday it almost seemed like his back foot was off of the ground at contact.

Just an observation.

The AA Shuckers get a second chance to clinch a home series win over Rocket City tonight, with 20-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez (3.77 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 7.5 K/9 in 14.1 IP) set for his 4th start. 2B Dylan O’Rae leads the Southern League in hits (25 - tied with Jesus Made), is 2nd in stolen bases (14 - Made is 3rd) and 3rd in walks (15 - tied with Made).

19-year old RHP Tyler Renz (1.93 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 9.0 K/9 in 14.0 IP) has stepped up as Low-A Wilson’s top starting pitcher early in the season and they need a strong effort to cut their 3-1 series deficit at Delmarva. 1B Frederi Montero has 4 hits and 5 RBIs over his last 2 games.

Back to the exciting speed/power prospect again now that he’s finally healthy.

Having Lara-Payne & Adamczewski all take-off early in this minor-league season has really improved the OF depth for the system and given it as well balanced a farm system as I can ever remember them having. And not just positional but pitching as well.

This system has turned into quite the monster.

The AAA Sounds can sweep today’s doubleheader in Charlotte behind RHP Garrett Stallings (1.98 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 7.2 K/9 in 13.2 IP). RF Jacob Hurtubise and 2B Freddy Zamora join the lineup in place of our 2 hottest bats.

Not easing Quinn back in, at least in my opinion:

That's good news. That line from his first outing read like someone who... was not feeling great.
