I hope we put a 10 spot on Freddy & then trade a low level prospect for him before the Mets leave Milwaukee

I could see him as a long relief guy, maybe even a #3 if Harrison returns to form.

Soto’s $750M contract is worth roughly 50% of the Brewers franchise value

Unreal.

To be fair, at least he is really really good.

There is a small degree of correlation with the performance of every player on the roster during that stretch.

Of course Yelich hitting for a 90 wRC+ overall since moving to primary leadoff hasn't been a driving factor.

But his +0.32 WPA indicates he hasn't hurt the team overall from a Win Probability Added standpoint given the contextual game factors he faced over the course of his cumulative PAs either.

116 PA of 84 wRC+ with bases empty
57 PA of 128 wRC+ with RISP

71 PA of 77 wRC+ low leverage
27 PA of 133 wRC+ high leverage

That's how you get a positive WPA with a below average wRC+.

You are going to die on this hill aren't you?

Man that fan missed an opportunity for AT LEAST a signed bat or something! I guess with entire bullpen focused on you hard to say "hold on a second".

I'm sure this one really bothers Freddy, I feel for him, but I'm a Brewers fan first!  I wouldn't mind dropping another 3 or 4 runs on him...

I loved Freddy when we was a Brewers player. I will love him again if he returns at the trade deadline. For tonight, I hope he stays in the game for us customary five innings & gets raked to the tune of 10 ER. This could lower his trade value & scare pitching needy teams away. Thus, he returns to Milwaukee where guru Chris Hook makes a few minor tweaks & “presto” - we have another solid arm for the stretch run.
