Sprout can beeffective but jeez-Louise stay away from the center of the plate.

He can’t. It’s either not a competitive pitch, or it’s right down the middle. Ergo, he’s not an MLB quality pitcher.

A typical performance in SF.

Going back to 2014 the Brewers are 14-23 in this park and have lost 8 of 11 series..

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Call them fast, Sproat will be serving up plenty more meatballs between now and then

I don’t get this sentiment. Sproat could go down as soon as tonight, with the day off Thursday and Harrison almost back. For a SP to make the playoff rotation, they’d need to outperform Drohan, who has a 3.5 and has been putting up 6 innings consistently. It needs to an Ace (Skubal, Ryan, etc) or nobody - why waste the capital on a guy that won’t crack the playoff rotation? Sproat is just biding his time at this point until there are 5 healthy above him within the next week.

Which prospects? This is far too general to be true or false. There is a Grand Canyon between Jesus Made and Tyler Black.

You’re not going to get Skubal for chump change.

I absolutely dread this series every year. Just a house of horrors for the Brewers. Oh, and they get to face Webb on Wednesday.

No, but we have a pretty good assortment of excess prospects who need to be added to the 40 next year and only so many spots available.

I’m not sure Jett Williams really has a role here, for example.

Yeah we could trade for Skubal and still easily have one of the best farm systems in baseball.

I mean, I’m certainly not opposed to such an addition, depending as always on the price.

Nothing like making Mahle look like an ace. I have observed we have had issues with pitchers that throw a splitter so far this year.

And he's been on the black quite a bit..

Not too many fat ones.

Much better command than Sprout

Neither am I, but it should have absolutely zero to do with Sproat.

Helps when he's getting a lot of wide strikes.
