And then they are dumbfounded when those weaknesses are exposed in the playoffs. It's as if having the best record in the regular season doesn't make you the best team in baseball.

Is there anyone who actually thinks we should be a favorite over the Dodgers in the postseason? Seems like you guys are talking to yourselves here.

Fact of the matter is they were good enough to be in the final 4 last year. Most measures indicate this team is just as good, if not better than last year's team. Who know's where we'll end up this year (only one team ends the season happy), but forgive me if I'm going to enjoy the journey of winning more baseball games than any other team.

I read through this game thread and then checked the score and I legit lol’d

Y’all made it seem like they were down 10 runs

Since you like to come here and make fun of how bad the IGT is, why in the hell do you keep coming back?

I would think the high and mighty people like you have a forum someplace where everyone posts to your approval.

Dodgers offense isn’t as scary as last year and Diaz is having a terrible year

Betts is sucking, Tucker has been garbage it’s basically Ohtani, and Freeman

That rotation though is insane and they aren’t even healthy right now and the pitchers will be rested going into the playoffs

I think our true window for the Brewers has yet to open, but I think that is happening soon, and we WILL get that World Series win in the next decade!

100% agree

I don’t care if people criticize the team but it’s just funny reading the comments in the first few pages saying seasons over, they aren’t gonna make the playoffs etc when the score was 3-1 in the 4th and they have the best record in baseball

What is bothering me about this IGT is the game is tied 3-3 after 6 innings and the discussion is devolved into content matter not related to the game.   As you were.  hee hee

We have reached the participation trophy phase of Yelich's career.

Why not give Lockridge a few games? No way he would be worse than Yelich.

He got that little nubber single to 3rd that he barely beat out earlier and he gets that “we are so proud of you” pop from the crowd.

It's honestly a little sad to see and I’m not sure playing him as much as they do does any favors for anyone.

You need to win to even have a chance at the playoffs though…so yes having a good record it’s important

Of course it's important. I've never said today that the game was over. I've never said today the season was over. All I've done was tell some inconvenient truths that some people can't handle and can't interpret. Gasser stunk today just as Drohan stunk yesterday. Murphy badly mismanaged the game yesterday. A six man rotation is stupid. Pointing stuff out like that is not pessimism. Let me be clear on my feelings about this year. I expect to make the playoffs. I even expect to win the division. I fully expect to be one and done in the playoffs no matter who we play.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

Though I agree with you 99% of the time, on this, I can't.

I'm a fan of an NFL team that is not the Packers.  Been a fan of that team since there inception in the 70's,  I thought my team would never, EVER, win the Super Bowl, based on history, based on luck, based on whatever, it just seemed I was destined to never feel that feeling.

I was wrong, and now my team has won it twice!  Believe me when I tell you, outside of the birth of my 2 kids, that first super bowl victory was one of the top 5 days of my entire life!

It can happen, and it will!  I think our true window for the Brewers has yet to open, but I think that is happening soon, and we WILL get that World Series win in the next decade!

The NFL and MLB are two totally different animals. There's a salary cap in the NFL. There isn't one in MLB.

I mean Yelich sucks, but Lockridge sucks too. I don't think he'd be an upgrade.

And winning a seven game series is much harder than winning a single game

Interesting take. Who said best team in baseball? Anyone on here who doesn’t think the Dodgers are the best team?

I don't even think the Brewers are top three in the NL.

Sad to see what looks like a cliff more than a sloping hill for the backside of Yelich’s career. Being a DH only while putting up a 0 WAR starts to push the discussion into negative asset territory.

Based on win loss records?

Cool, then we are better than the Dodgers!

You could put Bauers at DH and Lockridge in the field in this scenario (not necessarily advocating for it, I think Lockridge sucks too.)

To be specific, I meant the Dodgers, Braves and Phillies, but now that you mention it, maybe we're not top four.
