So they're going to hit and run against a pitcher who throws several hard breaking pitches for strikes? Brilliant.

With a lineup that isn't hitting.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Hit and run to stay out of potential DP and try and make something happen

He throws a lot of strikes just happened to miss badly on that

Robert Gasser is getting better with every start.

Ha ha ha you all have been fooled.

Hard to be mad at Gasser. Just a number 6 starter pitching like a number 4 against a great lineup. You don’t get wins with 1 run.

***** Tommy Freaking Edman. A guy with 3 HR's all year puts the nail in the coffin. The Brewers can never hit big HR's like that, especially from a guy that hardly ever hits them

I’ll take this start from our 6th starter any day on the road against one of the top offenses in baseball

Raleigh is hitting .158 for Seattle with virtually no peer compared to last season after signing his extension

Not many have fallen so hard from one year to the next.

Gasser pitched perfectly fine tonight but our starters have to be nearly perfect with the way our offense is going right now.

He did fine against a very good Dodgers lineup.

Of course, too bad our lineup is not hitting,

Idk what to tell you, other than that there’s no chance whatsoever they decline the option. I’d bet my life on it. He’s a 3x all star, 2x silver slugger, 2x top 11 MVP and still hits above average for a catcher. Plays every day. His down year right now is worth more than $12m on the open market, by a decent amount. He’s only 28, and very likely to have several years of solid production left. You don’t weigh a few bad months over all of that.

Simply put, you’re wrong.

Unless this is a Matt Arnold burner I'm gonna wait and see. How many guys do they have making 12 million dollars? 1 or 2 counting Woodruff. It may not seem like much but for them it's big money.

Yeah, if God came down and I said I can guarentee 6ip 3er from Gasser againt the Dodgers, or you can roll the dice, Id have taken the 6ip and 3er.

Just make it easy on other teams.    Our pitchers can hold you down for awhile.   But who cares, brewers ain’t scoring either.    Then somebody pops a homer and you are fine

last night was a fluke of all flukes in the ninth and people thought that was going to be normal service.

we can’t hit.    At all.    People are hanging onto their “poster on the wall” yelich and Contreras and not the reality of it.    It’s frustrating to watch

If they don’t want to pay him $12m, they’ll pick up the option and trade him. Catching is a very scarce commodity, and many teams would be thrilled to pay Contreras $12m, and give up a prospect for the opportunity to do so.

Unfortunately, “fine” pitching doesn’t usually win for us the way we are swinging the bats. We need “perfect.”
