Hey Brewers — we also have some minor league players with a ton of homeruns this year.

Maybe…maybe we could try this too?

Yep.   It might be time.    I hate to say it

I picked up Wrobleski and started him on my fantasy team, just trying to do my part to help the offense break out.

Just dropped Yelich for Baez too!  Really get the mojo swinging in a new direction.  Baez should be trash the rest of the year now and Yelich should finally heat up.

Holy crap!     What a debut.   That has to be the greatest of all time

First ever to hit HR in first 3 ABs.

I added him to my fantasy roster after the first two. Once I put him in the lineup tomorrow that should cool him down quickly.

Baez has been in AAA the whole season and is better than any prospect the Brewers could reasonably call up right now.

If you're thinking of Fischer, his contact metrics are worse than Baez's and he's been in A+ and AA.

I just saw Contreras is hitting .255.    How is it even that high?

Because he had a .297 BA entering play on July 1st

And is third.........in three at bats

Well we have four as a team in the last week, so suck on that, Cardinals.

Could you imagine it dropping another 40 points in the next month?    Whoa

If I remember correctly didn’t Contreras look hopeless for a month or two before the all star break and then finished pretty strong.    Maybe he can find it again?

I was actually thinking more Burke than Fischer.

Maybe, but he's started slow in AAA and only has 20 PAs vs. Baez who has played well in AAA the whole season.

Also no place to put him unless Yelich goes on the IL.

Fischer (A+/AA) 36HR / 152K / 1.057 OPS
Baez (AAA) 34 HR / 136K / .901 OPS
Burke (AA) 30 HR / 109K / .953 OPS
Adams (AAA) 16 HR (inj) / 40K / .951 OPS

Did another major league team pick up Eddys Leonard after he was released by the Giants? It seems he would be a better option for this team that Bae. What am I missing here?

Basically, the glove & defensive range. As is he.

When someone has decent minor league #s but doesn't get his first chance until a few months before age 26 that's often the reason when you can only have a 4-man bench. And he apparently was shakiest at 3B, which is where he would've had his best chance for PT here.

So Baez has hit more homers in his first 3 MLB at bats then the total number of HRs of the entire Brewer team in their last 5 games total.

I agree … but I’d prefer Leonard over Bae at 2B if Turang remains out

I would prefer..............neither lol.

Right now Bae is here because Turang has to sit, Pratt is out, Shewmake declared instead of going to Nashville, Rengifo apparently refused to hit unless he played LF on the west coast, Vaughn has been at 3B & you need SOMEONE who can play a couple of different spots on the INF. I guess I'd give the nod there to Bae, but I totally understand your point. Hopefully Turang is playing today or tomorrow.

It's tough because with only 4 position backups, a lot of teams will rotate the DH spot between different guys, or the primary DH will occasionally put on a glove. It's like the Brewers are in the mid 70s, where you have a DH who can't do much of anything else. Puts a strain on the flexability they crave.

Call up young players with power to impact struggling lineup. The Cardinals way. Not the Brewers way.

I mean the Cardinals are literally rebuilding and the Brewers are in first place.

Plus the Cardinals held Baez in AAA the whole year until now while the Brewers’ AAA hitters are all injured and they already called up Lara and Pratt.

I don't even know what to think of this.
