Gold/Platinum Glove Races

(Using fielding bible) I know there is a lot more to defense that defensive run saves but it is the easiest to use.

Turang leads the mlb in DRS at 20, next are Andy Pages 18 (on dl most of the rest of the way), Matt Chapman 16 (DL, only play 84 games, wow), Nasim Nunez 16

I would guess there is an extremely good chance Brice wins his 2nd Platinium Glove

I doubt anyone else wins. Chourio is at +5 against Dylan Lile 9, Ian Happ 7, and Bryan Reynolds 6. So there is a chance.

Hamilton (8) has been great at 3B but Chapman and Bregman 13 will be tough to beat.

Had Pratt (4) or Lara (5) had more playing time they would have a good chance. SS Perdomo 8, Winn 8, Betts 8, Swanson 6 and RF Carroll 11, Suzuki 10. The same goes for Joey O because he has split 3 runs 3B, 2 2B but maybe at the utility.

We can always hope that he loses another flyball and jumps at a couple more HRs 20 feet above him during the playoffs to reduce the fan factor. 😏

Whether he wins or not is another question but I would surprised if Joey isn't a finalist at utility. I can't imagine there are many who have played better defense with the relative volume of innings at 2 positions like he has.

Yeah it would be a major upset for PCA to not win.

That was my thought as well. I don’t know if the number of positions played has any bearing on it. Like would he have a better shot if he’d started some games at 2b and 1b?
