That's one of those grey area plays where the qb slides late and there's not much the defenders can do but they still throw the flag.  Also agree it wasn't much of a slide either.

On the bright side, there is plenty of a chance that Matt would have called some dud on 4th and 2 and we come away empty handed so it was no different than just deciding to take the points instead.
