Not lost on me that the only players who don't have a hit tonight are Frelick and Hamilton.  Every other player has been on base at least twice, actually.

Yelich with 2 hits and hitting almost .300 now in Sept

And gave up 14 to the Dodgers before they caught the plane to Milwaukee.

Only 14?? Pathetic offense! We will annihilate them.

I've not seen Drohan pitch for a while (thankfully??)... any hints on what changed for him?

Well, he certainly hasn't been pitching roses lately... Doesn't mean he can't bounce back, but would you trust him in the playoffs right now?

It’s baseball. People go through hot and cold stretches. Doesn’t mean he’s crap

A lot of people in here last month wanted Contreras benched etc and look how he’s hitting now. He’s still a good pitcher

If you switched the first letter in his first and last name our starting shortstop's name would be Pooper Cratt.  Just a fun fact for you guys.

Don’t bother. He’s the guy who literally said the Brewers suck last year despite the best record in baseball.

It’s funny because there was a huge thread on here I’m pretty sure about extending Harrison in June now he’s poop on a stick. Just shows you how much things can change in a month

14 hits and 13 Runs and Frelick is 0-4. Clearly not because the pitching has been tough. Now down to a .620 OPS.

Does Sal make the playoff roster?

I know it’s been beaten to death but Ortiz has no business on the bench for Hamilton.

We also know Lara is still more of a slap hitter with better field speed than base speed at this point in his career but Frelick has no case for playing time over Lara. None.

But as someone said earlier he might be mire effective coming out of the bullpen instead of starting.

Sal seems like a prime trade candidate in the right deal. Even if I believed he could bounce back, there aren't enough ABs to go around.

Probably, better question is whether he gets start.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

None of the guys acquired from the Red Sox really inspire any confidence right now.

You didn't answer my question.  Would you trust him to start in the playoffs right now?

His FB speed is down, his arm angle dropped... he hasn't been the same since he got injured.  This is something more than a "cold" stretch.  There is something very different about how he was pitching and what is going on now...

Vaughn is hitting .314 for the entire season.

Don't need him in my opinion. He offers nothing they need.

I'd still try to extend him

Yeah, because who is going to replace him on it?

But he shouldn’t start.

I’d think Sal is pretty expendable too but I wouldn’t expect much of a return.

Drohan as a starter has a wOBA against of .341. So on average players hit like Garret Mitchell against him. That is not good.

Pinch runner, defensive replacement. Lockridge?

If this were a playoff game, I'd agree.  In the position we are in, I'm ok with rotating people around and making sure everyone gets starts.  If Sal keeps playing like this, he will probably play himself off the team.  But if he gets back to 700+OPS Sal, he is helpful

I think Murphy likes Sal too much to keep him off the playoff roster.
