I think Murphy needs to chat with Lara, put a hand on his shoulder and smile warmly before more of his big ABs.

I'm disappointed too.  Not because they lost, but because they effectively lost Harrison.  Nobody else on our roster besides Miz and Henderson have the upside that Harrison has to matchup with the Dodgers starting pitching.  And i don't think Miz and Henderson will be enough.

I hope I'm wrong, but without Harrison this post season feels like it will be "same old same old"

Good to see a fellow newbie post.  Welcome to the board.

Remember we were using Quintana and an Ashby-Priester combo against the Dodgers last year.

Henderson and May are pretty significant upgrades, not to mention having the Cy winner.

I feel like Ashby has entered late 1 run games a lot in the second half of the season only for them to not be late one run games anymore when he was done.

Poor AB by Luis, started with a chase, ended with the bat on his shoulder. Not sure why you would want someone who is still figuring out how to put together competitive ABs hitting second.

On paper, May is an upgrade from Quintana last year.

But so far, just on paper. Hope he can build off his last outing.

The team was experimenting a lot with Ashby as the limited starter back in the days of yore. I totally agree that our pitching with Misi-Henderson-May is a significant upgrade on all that.

He’s actually pretty adept at putting together long, competitive ABs. Usually quite patient. Not today, though.

Goodness … add Ashby to the growing list of worn out, disappointing contributors on this Brewers pitching staff

That was more foreshadowing than jinx. Jinx would have been “Ashby has been nearly perfect lately.”

Not as exciting as the "all reds" of Harrison when he was rolling, but yeah, an incremental upgrade.

Almost like these guys need rest...

Ashby is one of the most frustrating dudes on the roster because the raw stuff when on is among the best on the staff.

But, no consistency and not someone you’d want to trust in a big spot against the Dodgers.
