I gotta imagine so, especially with a week to plan it all out with staffing and all the works.

We were at the NCLS Game 4 watch party and I'd totally do it again.  I was ready to go back Friday in case Game 5 became necessary.  The carry-in policy was unchanged from games so I had bottled water with me and got an arepa for $1.00 (tax + tip).

The hooting and hollering and horn honking in the lots after the game were probably less than the 1982 bedlam I've read about, but no less heartfelt.

The gridlock around the team store was very real so we will be getting merch another time.

So.....I just purchased plane tickets, accommodation and a hire car and am flying myself and my Brewer mad 11 year old son across from Sydney, Australia. Although we've made peace that we most probably be able to watch the boys live, we were really hoping that they would set up a 'watch party' at American Family Field....

Should they not open it up, are there any other areas that would be good to watch the games for a  couple of Aussie tourist supporters..?

Thank you in advance.

That's fantastic that you & your boy are heading here!!!!

After the positive reaction to the watch party for game 4, I can all but guarantee you that Am Fam will be open for all the road WS games. If you're looking for an alternate experience I'd suggest one of the bars on Bluemound Rd near the stadium (if you do that, parking would be a mess so I'd suggest an Uber). I'm sure there are also places near the FiServ Forum that would be hopping, if you're staying downtown. But especially since your son is with you, the Am Fam watch party is definitely the way to go.

If the weather cooperates, the zoo is really nice for a pregame or off day excursion. It's about 5 miles west of downtown.

Thank you so much for your reply and helpful tips. I really hope to bump into a few of this site's Brewer fans whilst I'm across! I definitely will be getting tickets to Am Fam for the away games if is showing...

Traveling across the pond to take in an English Premier League match was a life highlight for me. No doubt you will be welcomed and will have a forever memory for your son. Have a great trip!

If your son is as sports-mad as I was (am), and without knowing your traveling options, It may be worth it to travel up to see Lambeau and the Packers HOF. Part of the thrill for me has always been the cultural histories of sport, which really fed my interest in soccer (and my curiousity about Aussie-rules football!). The Packers did a great job of integrating the old with the contemporary, IMO. But this trip may very well be about a love of baseball and the Brewers! So whatever you find, you'll have a great time.

You'll need a MLB dot com account to order tickets, even for "just" any watch parties. Though if you've been watching, you must have one already, duh.

'watch party'

...

areas that would be good to watch the games

For locals living in MIL with a better finger on the pulse, specifically for game 1, Friday night, are there any watch parties I should be aware of? I'm coming into town from TN, attending game 2, looking for a watch party for game 1.

The weather looks good, so outdoor hopefully. I thought maybe one of the country park beer gardens??

Deer District seems obvious, but maybe Bucks home opener makes it too crazy. Bluemound bars don't have outdoor space? State street in Tosa (Hart's/Leff's) would be old stomping grounds, but not sure about outdoor space. Kegel's on National is a favorite, and it's near the stadium which would be cool, and I'm assuming they still have the whole side street blocked off for their beer garden?

I'll be staying on the south side, like Franklin area.

It's 10:13 and there are no 2 seats together for GAME 4 Watch Party at AMFAM....Sold out already?  I know it started yesterday and continued today at 10:00....but this just seems unreal to me!   40,000?

Then again, the cost of WS tickets, the gobs of Brewers merchandise being sold (the team store is CLOSED today to restock! It should be a crazy busy day, the day before WS Game 1! Ha!), and all other Brewers fever whatever is just off the charts too.  It's par for the course this week.

The codes wound up leaked online two nights ago and I assume many seats were taken.

Season seat holders get the opportunity to watch the actual World Series, I don't understand why there is any advance sale on the watch party. Brewers dropped the ball here

I was going to post that exact thing. Is it really necessary the same people get inside the stadium 7 times? The whole point was a low-budget alternative for people who couldn't go. It's pretty pathetic. I see it from both sides though. I wouldn't do this, but I'm sure they'd have SSH complaining that they deserve first rights to purchase.

Yes so they can flip the seats on StubHub for $50+.

What an absolute joke!! Honestly, what codes are we talking about as I didn't see them? Seriously this was the better alternative and now nothing? And to the people who bought these tickets and are going to sell them online for a higher price, not only are you not a brewer fan you are an absolute scumbag

Interest is at an all time high. Just revoke their SSH membership. That will humble them.

Somehow even worse than flipping World Series tickets as the the Brewers are donating net proceeds to the community foundation.

But also, this is why the crazy high face value for World Series tickets never mattered. If they were cheaper the SSHs would have just gobbled them all up anyway to flip.

If they have a chance to sweep it may end up cheaper to buy a ticket and fly to Tampa over the cost of these.

I'm not trying to judge anyone but I don't quite get wanting to be there that badly to watch a screen...and still do traffic etc. Different strokes I guess but I kinda had to be convinced even to go to a real game. I just like being at home.

I tried to get Monday watch party tickets right at 10am. I would select my seats, try to continue, and the page would kick me out. I tried that 3 times before they were sold out the next time. Bummer.

For $15 I guess it’s kinda cool if I was super local.

But I guess I prefer my $1.50 beer from my fridge versus whatever they are charging at these watch parties…and I know whatever I cook will be better than AmFam food. Even if just a frozen pizza.

Sold out in 17 minutes.  I had two seats in 227 selected for Game 3, but took too long to long onto my Ballpark app.  Gone.
