Rays would have told you they should have had that ball in CF and SS in the first

Probably.  But the team that makes those plays will win.

A professional hitter can usually his a fast fastball if he knows it's coming. Miz needs to throw that curve and slider with confidence

He can’t locate them

He drilled it at 113 MPH and and our CF didn’t catch it,

Seems like fair game to me. Could have been worse.

Walk to lead of the inning, ball that hit the outfielders glove

Exactly.  There are going be be hard plays, and the team that makes the most of them are more likely to win.

Having played CF, that's a hard play to make, it's gets on you quicker than you think.

Yah, that ball was smoked. He had no time to turn his head, run, and then hope to reset himself for a catch like you need to.

Saying he should have made that catch is really underestimating the difficulty of that play.

Then don’t walk the leadoff man. That’s the price.

Well duh Sherlock. Self inflicted, they didn’t deserve it. Miz needs to be better.

At 113MPH? Yeah, that's VERY difficult.

Still gotta make it, but that's a hard read. And Mitchell started back.

Gonna have to pull him.

He's given up just 1ER. We gotta let him go a bit. If he's wild and walks another hitter... maybe, but he should definitely be back out for the 5th.

Yeah, they did. They drew the walk.

He’s allowed 1 run in 4 innings. Maybe the offense needs to be better.

You can't wait until he walks another leadoff hitter.  Its the World Series, not a game in June.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

A lot of you seem to be underestimating how good Nick Martinez has been this year, especially on the road

Right... and you need to have a BIT more faith in the most dominant pitcher in Baseball. You can't yank him after 1ER through 4 with 58 pitches.

He’s been great but the Brewers have missed at least 4 pitches that should have been crushed

That’s what happens though when you throw 3-4 pitches for strikes and can keep hitters off balance

Miz leaving too many pitches over the middle of the plate.

Smoltz said it perfectly. TB is ignoring anything that spins and looking fastball all the way. That's what been hurting Miz throughout the playoffs so far. He has to learn how to throw a decent changeup (the easiest of offspeed pitches to throw) so he has something to get them off the fastball when he can't land the slider or curve.
