Whoa look I can cherry pick stats too!

IMG_9078.jpeg

You... could... you could maybe need to make a coherent point to do so though!

In THIS scenario me using FOUR of Bauers FIVE at bats is "cherry picking," and YOU using ONE of his 5 is... "also cherry picking?"

LOL... what?

Who is "cherry picking?"

7/10 lowest EV came from the Rays

Yes. The Brewers have a better lineup than them and I believe they’ll win the whole thing.
I also believe that they were pressing tonight and guys who we’ve come to expect great things from didn’t deliver tonight, and that’s why we lost. I believe that the Brewers will need the offense to get back to what got them here in the first place to win tomorrow, precisely because that approach has the greatest potential to drive pitch counts up.

Usually if you're "pressing" you don't hit the ball harder and strike out BELOW your season average(just the opposite actually).

I wish there was a way to block people on here, I get why people always complain about you.

have a good night, go brewers

Oh, that sounded 7th grade mean girls type stuff! I have no idea who you are bud... other than the guy who said "I don't care how hard they hit the ball," when talk about evaluating how a baseball player played and how "tight" a team was...

They also do have that feature sport. By all means, make use!

I don't need smoke blown up my ass. But the negativity is stifling. Giys we are up 3-1 in the World Series good gosh.

THAT....and...
-We absolutely dominated this game. Baseball happened. We hit frozen ropes all over the place.
-We have a pitching staff that's relatively fresh.

They have... Matz or... Seymour who may start?

Hell, we COULD... just IN THEORY start Harrison, let him go 3-4 innings and see where we are. Give Miz his 5th day, if we're down, keep Ashby, give him 2 days, Hall, Uribe... go into Gm6 with a 100% fresh staff... and go that way.

Of COURSE we're not going to do that, we're going to pitch Miz, he's going to get through 5 or 6 and then we're going to ride our horses to our first WS win ever, but the difference between where we are and where the Rays are is significant!

Then again, this was the same board who called it over when Ohtani hit a HR in Gm4 last Rd!

Bad luck tonight. Thought the Brewers had them when Pratt homered, as I suppose a lot of us did.

No matter, dust off and have another crack tomorrow. Now they know what it feels like to be in the position of winning the WS. They'll be under no illusions tomorrow as the experience won't be new or foreign to them.

By the way, some of those Rays look really banged up to me.

Caminero was the one who looked it to me. Limping after he got on first, even more after running to third. That will be something to pay attention to.

If told you a week ago we were going to try to clinch a WS title with Drohan in a one run game you would have laughed.

Which is how the result of it was, laughable.

Gutsy Murphy with his bullpen pitchers and then laid a turd tonight when it mattered. Pitch Miz and if it doesn’t work just push him back to Game 6. Always an excuse why he can’t pitch one inning to win the World Series or why he can’t pitch on the road or he needs an extra days rest. Most babied Cy Young pitcher ever.

This is such an odd post. It isn't babying him when he is going to start the game 20 hours later.

They took a chance on one of few available arms getting 3 outs. It didn't work but they have him available to pitch half the game up 3-1.

"Always an excuse"? What other time has he been there to bullpen the World Series? And isn't he pitching on the road tonight? Like, what?

what in the he**was with caminero sitting in the dirt at the end of the dugout by himself, for 3 innings, with a smug look on his face all about? is that how he inspires and cheers on his teammates?

loved bill staring down yandy on that last challenge acting all tough and then finally cracking a smile.

Look when I posted that and look when he was announced as the starter.

My bad falling for everyone convinced he was never going to start on the road, which always seemed dumb to me.

He was always going to start Game 5. He has to be available to throw an inning in Game 7, which he would 100% be asked to do.

I hope the Brewers approach this game sensibly knowing they have 2 shots at this at home. Starting Miz at all is enough to say they aren't punting, but I feel strongly that Ashby needs to sit this one out. Let him get 2 nights off and play both home games if necessary. I just have a bad feeling about him pitching tonight. They have to go to somebody else.

Nobody wants to see Drohan in a save situation but it needs to be evaluated against the actual available alternatives, not the vacuum people are pretending it happened in.

It was the 12th inning of a series you're leading 3-0. The realistic alternatives were Kyle Harrison and if we want to pretend, Miz.

Miz hasn't had great openings this postseason. He was hit 2/3 starts and turned two DPs, one was outright lucky in an inning he gave up 2 hits. That's with his proper stretch routine. It is a total wild card bringing him out of the bullpen. It is also very likely they already told him he was not pitching tonight and he was starting tomorrow. That's a huge deal mentally.

It just isn't far fetched for me to see him coming in, walking the first 2 batters and now he's in a world of trouble and we've lost tomorrow's starter. It just wasn't worth it with the lead we have.

You give him the ball to do what he does - start the game in normal circumstances on normal rest and hope he does what he's done all year.
