From Adam McCalvy's latest notes column:

 

Right-handed reliever Ben Ford was scheduled to begin a 30-day rehabilitation program on Thursday for Triple-A Indianapolis at Durham, N.C. Ford (right shoulder tendonitis) is expected to throw one inning or 25 pitches.

 

LOL. I think that "30-day rehabilitation program" is code for "stay away until we figure out what to do with the roster".

I guess we've gotten to the point where there's not enough to complain about with the Brewers so we are left to complain about how people complain about them.

Why, exactly, don't more runners try to steal home during an intentional walk?

 

1. The catcher's standing away from the plate

2. The pitcher's just lobbing it in

3. No one's expecting it

 

I mean, guys try to do it on a fastball down the middle. Seems like it'd be a piece of cake during an IBB.

I'd try it if I had a guy on third, and the guy they were IBBing was a righty. Catcher's in a bad spot.

Nice work by Cappy to get out of this. Now, get a lead of two ro three runs, and hand it over to Matt Wise and/or Burba.

Edit: I criticize players all the time, but acting like a pitcher isn't trying to get outs? Just seems like a slightly unfair criticism.

 

I'll be sure not make people explain themselves in the future.
