Well, as a poster of my word I have turned off the radio. You guys are my eyes and ears now.

 

I will say, however, that Spurling exceeded my expectations in the extra inning game vs. the Mets on July 31.

Has Brauns D late in the game cost us any games? I don't remember any, and if so I imagine 1 or 2.

I can see taking him out in the 9th of a 2 or 3 run lead. But 1 run games, or before the 9th not a good idea. It's downright Yostful.

I honestly have no idea what Ned Yost thinks during a game. I'm not trying to bash him like 4 times in an IGT, but this is unreal. If the stat of saves was abolished I'm pretty sure COrdero would have 7 more appearances.

I will accept not using Cordero, especially since he is your only bullpen pitcher worth anything for the rest of the year.. but I would trust Cappy or Stetter over Spurling at this point. Spurling's nickname should be "walk-off". But hopefully bottom of the order is the saving grace here.
