If so, I would guess it's in the neighborhood of 80-90%.

Do you define "from Wisconsin" as "living in Wisconsin now" or "born in/grew up in/previously lived in Wisconsin"?

 

The latter should result in a higher percentage of posters than the former. Pitchleague's an example of the latter.

I think it's something like:

50% - Metro-Milwaukee

20% - Metro-Madison

15% - Other areas of Wisconsin

15% - Outside of Wisconsin

 

I could go through all of the users and look up all of the IP address's metro codes, but that smacks of effort.

I would guess that the number of people who lived in Wisconsin most of their lives to be in the high 90's percentage wise. It's not like the Brewers are a popular national team. I have always and still do live in Wisconsin.

I would guess 70% or lower are actually in Wisconsin. It is a good place to discuss the Brewers if you live in enemy territory.
