  1. I can't wait to see what kind of line-up THE MURPH rolls out on Saturday...
  2. No more Patrick, save him for Saturday. Be nice to get 3 from him.
  3. A Christmas commercial on October 9th. *shaking head*
  4. Actually, now I fully expect them to score 3 runs. It's the Brewers way.
  5. They didn't win a lot of games with him leading off, and they lost last night. You can defend the decision all you want, that doesn't mean it's correct. You do you.
  6. It didn't work in September and it didn't work last night. No reason on earth to try it again tonight, but here we are.
  7. Murphy copying Coun$ell here using Megill this early.
  8. Meh, since it was Joey, I'm fine with that, but then our two best hitterrs crapped the bed.
  9. Are you leaving now...........................AGAIN?
  10. I thought you already announced your departure...
  11. I was talking to some people this morning, and the conversation turned to Murphy and his ridiculous and unneeded manipulation of his line-up yesterday. Every person in this group of 4 of us was hoping against all hope that he learned his lesson, and would go back to those original line-ups. Nope, he just couldn't do it.
  12. I want that series to go all 5 games.
  13. 1000% agreed with this. It makes absolutely zero sense, yet here we are.
  14. Hey Darling, just shut up, can you do that? Just shut the hell up!
  15. If that is true, then Lockridge hasn't faced Taillon, depends on how you look at it. To me, when a hitter hasn't faced a given pitcher. the advantage goes to the pitcher, not the hitter. I don't see the reason to change things up like this. Starting Bauers over Vaughn, also an unneeded change. I'm saying this because every time I criticize Bauers starting, he has a great game at the plate. lol Yelich leading off? Didn't seem to work that well at the end of the season when Murphy was outsmarting himself... All these things will now work out since I am applying the reverse jinx, or is it just a regular jinx?
  16. Do you share Brewers stories on a Mariners board someplace?
  17. Imanaga hasn't been the same pitcher in 2025 that he was in 2024. Horton is going to be their golden boy the next few seasons.
  18. I love Durbin, but he is "big bat" replaceable at 3B. How about a "big bat" OF? I think we are safe in saying Chourio and Frelick are both going to be regulars in the OF next season. I don't think Yelich will be there much from here on out. So with Perkins and Collins, neither of which is a mashing "big bat" to fill the other OF position, we could fit an acquisition there. Not sure what is out there for attainable SS FA or trade, with one or two year contracts, but we could fit a "big bat" there as well. I do agree, out of all the years we've had in the past to stand pat, 2026 is probably the safest to do that, however, I want more. I'm assuming Vaughn is our guy at 1B in 2026, Turang at 2B, so I doubt we do anything there, unless Turang moves to SS (which I doubt) then we'd have room for a "big bat" 2B. Keep in mind, I'm just throwing stuff against the wall here, but looking at the team and thinking there are no positions we can get better at with a "big bat" is a bit shortsighted imo. Of course we can get better offensively, and as good as we are right now, getting even better might be only a bat away.
  19. Man, seeing that in text really pisses me off. After a season like this, if we still intend to sit on our thumbs rather than adding a BIG BAT, it just pisses me off to no end. I have accepted that we don't sign big money guys in general, but I still hate the fact that moves like that are still only available to the big market teams. I really wonder what the Cubs plan to do this off season? Will they continue to wait on the Counsell magic that just isn't gonna happen, or will they realize that they MUST add some players to contend with us? lol That's fun to type... Screw the Cubs and their weasel of a manager!
  20. We are debating it because it could have gone sideways in several different ways, and I think we are fortunate that in the end, it worked. Fact is, it only went sideways once, and upon correcting the Ashby start with Miz and the rest of the gang, it worked. I was strongly against the opener, and at that time, I figured it was the opener followed by Priester scenario that most of thought was happening. Man, the entire situation took stones, and luckily, it all worked out in the end. Took a LOT of moving parts for that to happen, but it did, and here we sit with a 2 game lead, only needing to win one more of the next three! What a freaking season!
  21. ...and like Murphy says, it's hard to stay hungry! @HarryDoyle
