  1. If Mertz's pass isn't tipped it's likely 42-0 at half.
  2. Are my eyes deceiving me, or is Ward not listed on the graphic? Don't like that Black is listed as an OF.
  3. Hard to be with three rookie wide receivers and two injured tackles...
  4. Ruiz doesn't seem to have an issue with exit velocity lately...
  5. Amazing things happen when you let games go nine innings
  6. Neither Bakh nor Jenkins are on the PUP. They were activated from it a couple of weeks ago. Barnes is on IR per the Packers website.
  7. I posted this in another thread, but Fangraphs has almost every 1B at negative defensive value. 18 of the top 20 qualified 1B, and the only one who is positive has played more 3B and 2B than 1B. I think Fangraphs compares to all players of all positions, not just within that position, otherwise they wouldn't have almost every 1B as negative defensively.
  8. Bears fans at the game are getting absolutely soaked right now. 49ers too. It's a beautiful thing.
  9. Let's not call him EBJ. Sound too much like JBJ. Too soon.
  10. Florida State and Virginia Tech both went undefeated that year. Virginia Tech beat four ranked teams that year - Virginia, Syracuse, Miami, and Boston College Nebraksa also finished 11-1. Their only loss was 24-20 at Texas, but then beat Texas in the Big 12 championship game.
  11. Probably because he was hiding/trying to work through the injury. My guess is that it had been bothering him to some extent for a while and didn't just happen in the game. Through his first eight starts he had a 2.95 ERA and 3.11 FIP. Last season among pitchers with at least 100 IP, Houser was 4th in highest GB%, 6th is highest soft hit %, and 2nd in lowest hard hit %.
  12. Confidence that he was completely back from injury and could trust his arm.
  13. 22 months ago when on Nov 14th, 2020 they beat Michigan 49-11.
  14. 11 months ago when unranked WIS beat #9 Iowa 27-7.
  15. WIS outgained WSU 401 to 254. If you add in the yardage that was taken back on penalties (plus the change in strategy going to 2nd/3rd and long) UW's offense had closer to 500 total yards. Offensive scheme was not the issue. The penalties were the issue, along with three special teams gaffes. Looks like it will take a while to unlearn the bad habits that Rudy coached...
  16. Then I guess they will have to go to one of the Astros, Dodgers, Yankees, or Braves. Like I said, not a lot to choose from.
  17. Cougars had an unimpressive win over Idaho last week. Hopefully Bucky doesn't choke late like Texas is doing...
  18. List of teams that have been to the the playoffs each of the last four seasons: 1) Astros 2) Dodgers 3) Yankees 4) Braves 5) Brewers Doesn't look like they have a lot of options.
  19. Because they keep the challenge if they win it, about how many total pitch challenges per game would you say that there were? Did they tend to save them for later in the game or was it more whenever they thought they got hosed?
  20. Theo Epstein had some great quotes about this that I just saw on Quick Pitch. If you can find them, listen to them. Some great reasoning behind the changes. "The game has evolved in a way that nobody would have chosen if we were sitting down 25 years ago... nobody would have asked for a league strikeout rate higher than Bob Gibson's career strikeout rate... nobody would have asked for generational lows in stolen bases, triples, and doubles..."
  21. I don't know about that. Maybe for apartments/rentals, but new home inventory is up to an almost 12-month supply. I've heard that about used cars as well, but everyone I've spoken to recently (small sample) who is actively looking for a vehicle has said that inventory is still low and it's hard to get what they want. For new vehicles almost everyone has said that they've had to go to multiple dealers to try to get on a reasonable waiting list for what they want. I just don't see demand going down, so supply is going to have to increase significantly.
  22. I don't necessarily mind the shift, but what I do mind is what basically amounts to the 2B/SS playing in shallow RF. Yeah, sure, you can shift but you have to keep your feet on the dirt. Similar with the pitch clock; I don't necessarily mind it but I would prefer for at least the first season or two to be a little longer (22-25 sec w/runners on, 18-20 w/bases empty). I like the idea of faster pace of play, but am not really a fan of automatic balls either.
  23. Upper right hand corner, click on the "hamburger" (3 horizontal bars), then click Account, then click Ignored Users and type in the persons username. It auto-populates so you just need the first 3-4 letters of their username usually.
  24. That, and Woodruff has spent time on the DL this year and they want to minimize the risk of having what just happened to Peralta happen to him. Burnes is a different story, thus why letting him go 100 pitches.
