    I rarely get to watch the Badgers on TV, so yesterday was fun. I'm curious how the rebounding will look in the MSU game. I don't know exactly how good MSU is at rebounding this year, but given how solid they normally are I'm intrigued to see how that goes.

    It would be easier if they hadn't expanded, the championship would be in the Rose Bowl on New Year's day nice and simple.

    There is definitely some interesting risks for both parties in this type of deal. From the player side Woodruff is a good example of someone who might suddenly be wishing they had already cashed in for a 'discount'.

    Even conference champs will produce debate to fill the need for air space, since someone will want to claim either different strengths for different conferences or point to a conference champ that has a worse record then a second place team. Even if you went a full 365 day schedule to accommodate a full Round-Robin, that's just an invitation to say that a team finished stronger and really should have been. So just pick with something reasonable and accept that is the game we are all playing.

    That is pretty ick. On other vents while I enjoyed a bunch of Rivalry week games I did hear at least 1 bone headed announcer confidently state that we wouldn't have to have this 'debate' about who makes it into the playoff once they expanded next year. But of course we will because a part of his job depends on filling sports talk time with these 'debates' never mind that as usual the number of relevant undefeated teams fits into the existing model.

    Defense started to improve throughout the first half, but really came on here in the second half.

    A potential starter with 3 option years is fairly useful. Having choices in your 6th-10th starters who are cheap helps prevent those big collapses so I'm onboard with the move even if the net value is small.

    I don't think I ever realized Ginter was actually older then me... Oh the early Brewerfan years.

    Finally making the jump to getting an EV. Hit a deer after moving back to Wisconsin and using that to give the down payment. While I can appreciate it's not universal the cost savings for me are huge. My wife has to drive 90 miles round trip for work a day and the local electric co-op has charged between 10-11 cents/ KWH for the last 5 years. Even if Chevy didn't help with the home charger it would get paid for in a couple of months. My only regret at the moment is that the timing was slightly off from being able to get an Equinox.

    I'm waiting for a team to do a fake out and quick snap after selling the defense that you are just trying to draw them off.. Kind of like Marino and Duper I think it was actually running a route back in the day instead of clocking it.

    Far from giving up on him, but I would certainly be grateful if I was him that I signed that extension right now.

    Have to agree on the Canha option at this point. It would be nice to have enough depth and competition that the young guys have to earn it more with the bat. Given what the offense has looked recently just avoiding the blackhole problems we had sure makes it look like we've be head to head with LA for that second overall seed, which would be fun.

    I didn't get the game turned on until just before halftime, and I can't recall ever seeing coverage as over the top. It was just sight to behold. My wife was laughing out loud.

    This has been quite the way to comeback after yesterday. And I'd like our chances in most playoff series if Burnes and Woody pitch like this.

    That is a solid way to handle the value of seeding, so still definitely some value to play for towards the end of the season.
