  1. So will American Family Insurance pay the city to change all of the street signs from Miller Park Way to AmFam Way?
  2. This will be announced tonight. Still looks like Rivera, Halladay, Martinez and maybe Mussina depending on if the anonymous writers vote for him this time around.
  3. Hid "buddy" is also the guy that runs BrewCrewBall so I'm not sure what that means. If he is just making stuff up makes that site look pretty bad.
  4. Maybe if he was a player/coach on that team sure.
  5. Just as a source of reference Henry hit 234/327/380 as a 21 year old in low A last year and Nottingham hit 326/387/543 as a 20 year old in low A in 2015. Henry has a long way to go.
  6. For those who know more about outrighting than me, now that the 40 man is full if the Brewers outrighted Tyrone Taylor now and he wasn't added to another teams 40 man would he have to go to the minors or would he be a minor league free agent like he was supposed to be prior to him being added to the 40 man by the Brewers.
  7. If the Brewers can't afford LeMahieu I doubt they can afford Gonzalez.
  8. From our very own And That on Twitter: Re: Jake Petricka, #Brewers newest reliever, he has 2 options remaining but needs only 15 days on the MLB roster to reach 5 years of service time, at which point he gains the right to refuse optional assignment. That prolly works against him making club out of spring training. 1:03 PM - 10 Jan 2019
  9. Go to Baseball Reference under career splits and it is toward the bottom. Grandal has nowhere near 43 HRs at Miller Park. That chart was an overlay if he played all his games at Miller Park last year.
  10. From the guy on Twitter that broke the orginal Moustakas trade to the Brewers: Hearing #Brewers have sent a contract offer to 3B Mike Moustakas 11:08 AM - 9 Jan 2019 from Port Orange, FL https://twitter.com/bucksbrett/status/1083078178523045889
  11. They would have to give him a qualifying offer and if he signed a 50+ million contract the Brewers would get a pick after the 1st round.
  12. The Bears are kind of stuck with Parkey as well since he signed a contract this pas off season and would take a pretty good dead cap hit if they traded/released him. Plus they gave him a bunch of guaranteed money.
  13. I guess that talk of Broxton having no value wasn't exactly true. Best of luck to him in NY.
  14. Rivera, Halladay and Martinez are locks this years, all deserving in my opinion. Mussina has a chance as well but always does more poorly with anonymous voters (66% public vs. 47% anonymous) for whatever reason. It appears Walker is picking up a lot of votes this year as well, not enough to get elected this year but a shot next year on his final ballot.
  15. Not a good place for young kids on game day. It is fine if you buy one of the outdoor tables. Sat near the bullpen and kids even got autographs. However, inside is a different story. Hated even taking them to the restroom and walking past the bar area.
  16. From a money standpoint there is no risk but yes there is risk because if they sign Tulo then that pretty much means one of the other options won't be coming here. He could be completely useless which would lead to more playing time to Perez/ Spangenberg. Maybe no risk if their plan is to bring up Hiura after Super 2 and whatever they get out of Tulo is a bonus.
  17. Right, there is not much flexibility with Santana, Broxton, Perez, Kratz/Pina, Thames and that is the projected bench right now if they got rid of nobody. Therefore, they have to trade one/some of these guys or DFA them if they want to use shuttle guys like Saladino, Dubon, Taylor, Stokes, Nottingham
  18. In the chat Haudricourt mentions We at Baseball America use MLB rookie eligibility as the guideline for prospect status but then just ignores the 45 day rule on Burnes.
  19. There is a chance Dillard could play in Miller Park again. The Rangers will be bad and likely trading any assets they have at the trade deadline so will need to call up some guys to eat innings late in the season and the Rangers play the Brewers August 9-11.
  20. It is a common joke there regarding no one reading the articles and going straight to the comments.
  21. Although I trust our GM sees something of value in acquiring Claudio, I don’t see how any Ranger fan can dislike this trade. The Rangers are in rebuilding mode and acquiring a high draft pick in the same range that your org drafted Joey Gallo type talents for a replaceable bullpen arm is an absolute no brainer. I'm with you on this one, sometimes a trade is good for both sides and think this is one of those cases as these organizations are at different stages of building/competing. I do have to say though that a small part of me is glad that other draft picks can't be traded so that if things change quickly for a organization like the Brewers they still have their high draft picks to bring in young talent.
  22. Nobody from Milwaukee was taken in the major league phase.
  23. While it would be very difficult for the Brewers to keep a guy on the 25 man roster they do have the 40 man space so wouldn't be surprised if they bring one to camp if they are intrigued by a player.
  24. Dubon - and he costs us zero prospects. Again, if Stearns is targeting a 2b it's going to be a productive vet as the placeholder. Not a guy that was pure trash until 2018 and you're flipping a coin on what to expect performance wise moving forward. That type of player does nothing for us right now. Profar wasn't trash last year though when he was 25. Dubon will be 25 as well next season and has done nothing at the big league level.
  25. Jonathan Mayo did a little write up ahead of the Rule 5 Draft this Thursday and listed 10 players to watch for. Included in those 10 were Jake Gatewood and Jon Olczak of the Brewers. https://www.mlb.com/news/top-names-to-watch-ahead-of-the-rule-5-draft/c-301683078
