Canha could play 1B as well and another OF can start. Since there has not been a Winker DFA I am not ruling out him making the playoff roster over Tellez at this point. I though Tellez would get it going after coming back but just has not happened. September has been brutal for Rowdy.

Would imagine he makes the roster only if Monasterio or Donaldson get injured. At this point I probably would not DFA and just keep as a just in case break glass for emergency.

Does anybody know if the 10/15 day waiting period for optioning players applies to the playoff roster? For example could they send Perkins down after the Marlins series in order to give Mitchell MLB action before the playoffs and still add Perkins to the Wild Card roster?

Does he even go back to Nashville, he magically ends up making his next start one way or another. He likely gets optioned three times this month.

I do wonder if the Brewers will celebrate if they win a game this weekend against the Marlins but the Cubs stay alive.

The NL Wild Card race is interesting because the Brewers play a big part in who they will be playing. If the Brewers tank against the Cubs next week they likely face the Cubs or if the Marlins do what they just did against the Braves and sweep the Brewers then a good chance they play the Marlins. Looks like the Cubs lose the tiebreaker to both the Marlins and Reds. I happen to have some Marlins gear from people I know from Florida so maybe will troll Cubs fans next weekend.

Teheran can be used as a multi inning reliever these next few games and then hopefully the Cubs series is meaningless to the Brewers and he can pitch the final Saturday or Sunday.

Joyner looked like a future HOFer after 1987 but kind of peaked there. Lots of old timey baseball players to choose from with the Sox and Pirates as teams with 200 hits and 300 batting average.

Perhaps, he is the Brewer I can't stand the most. One of Stearns greatest moves was shipping K-Rod out the first chance he had. -

Absolutely justified, however they did it at pretty much the last moment they could while making sure he didn't reach a year. Plus they did it in a small window that prevents him from burning an option as well. So a little bit of both. -
One guy not mentioned is Devin Williams. It seems like the Brewers make the playoffs every year but due to injury or other issues Williams has never been able to make an appearance. Crossing my fingers nothing happens between now and the playoffs.

The 18-1 game is also the same day Adames got hit in the dugout by a ball. It was a cluster of a game.

The season is 187, subtract the next 15 days and the day to start the year would get him slightly below 172 needed. -
Thank goodness they are trying to get away from the personal catcher in the playoffs. Don't want Caratini to ever start in the playoffs.

I'm not one to defend the Vikings but it is getting ridiculous how much leeway tackles are getting without getting called for a false start. This led to a TD.

Yeah, don't see any way they carry 13 pitchers but could possibly see 12. May depend if Mitchell is deemed healthy enough to play. Don't see a scenario where Chafin is on the roster, will be nice to have Miley available if necessary.

I looked for #13 for recent Houston Hall of Famer Bill Doran as he played his last year with the Brewers but could not find one.

The Cubs play the Diamondbacks again so if the Cubs lose that series they are the final wild card. Then all they need is one of the Reds/Marlins/Giants to get hot. Not likely still but there is a path to miss the playoffs.
