    He's a multi inning guy so will likely try to get 3+ innings out of him.

    Very random but the Brewers are on the immaculate grid game today and one of the guys I always remember from the Brewers is Bob Sebra because he started the brawl against the Mariners in 1990 and never played again after that. Also, recall that he started his career with the Rangers. So put him in for Brewers and Rangers and he is at .07%, never got a percentage even close to that low before and doubt I ever will again. Anybody else play immaculate grid and what was the lowest percentage you ever had for a Brewers player?

    The Brewers will pass 2 million in attendance on Sunday. Currently averaging 30,902 a game compared to 30,155 last year. The average may go down with summer coming to an end but with the team in first it very well may go up still, plus 12 of final 19 at home on the weekend.

    I really don't think that extra year of minor league control matter much since any team can pick him up in the rule 5 draft at that same salary,

    Getting tired of these two game series with the Twins but the Brewers likely return the favor from earlier in the year and win both.

    Tough stretch for the Reds, 11 games in 10 days, then play the Cubs for three games. Cubs have been playing easy teams but when they get to the Brewers will be playing the end of 13 games in a row. The Brewers on the other hand have had a ton of days off lately including two this week.

    They can DFA Winker anytime they want. Winker seems to have a bad reputation but appears to mesh well with this clubhouse/organization and are not in a hurry to DFA him.

    Houser has been talked about being talked about being taken out of the rotation for years, even by Counsell this past spring. However, he always ends up in the rotation. Can't see him being removed for the final month. Not likely going to sniff a playoff start but he eats up innings and starts every year. Gomez trade still paying off.

    I thought they would have another good game today. Could be different against Scherzer tomorrow but it was nice to face a couple of the Rangers weaker pitchers to start the series.

    Not real impressed with him. He has done well this year but would say he is outperforming. Wouldn't be surprised to see back to back offensive outbursts.

    I wouldn't call it a lesser lineup but Josh Jung is on the IL, Duran is out of the lineup and plays outfield, SS, DH.

    For those that had any doubt, Hiura is in the Sounds lineup tonight.

    They are average players performing below average. Unfortunately when the ceiling is average they sometimes don't get there. I thought the trade deadline was average at best when the trades were made and nothing has changed. Could use a hot streak from somebody on offense but not likely coming from these guys.

    You are going to really love it then when the Brewers-Cubs play in the first round of the playoffs right after.

    Fine with me, the reality is he is not good, regression will hit hard just like the Brewers offense tonight.

    One complaint about HIura this year is he never regained the hot bat after coming back from injury. However, now in August he is back to his April/May number again.

    Varland would have been a nice shuttle option but was the right move to not mess with the roster to try to keep him all season. Bad teams however should have claimed him and kept him on the roster all season. Brewers did a good job identifying him when he really wasn't ever mentioned in any rule 5 article leading up to the draft.

    Didn't realize he bounced around so many organizations. To some degree it is kind of surprising he survived his first month in Milwaukee as he didn't play real well but kept on getting better as the season went on. However, even when struggling he gets on base at a decent rate because of his walks, has a better chance to stick than a guy like Miller. Floor would appear to be a decent utility guy against LHP.

    That is true, in the past once a guy was called he would never be optioned back because there was no cap. However, wouldn't want to waste an option on Gasser or Misiorowski. I don't anticipate any interesting call ups on September. Just guys we have already seen

    Dusty gave Singleton the start against a lefty as well. Both HR and a single were against a LHP.

    Yeah, probably just Perkins coming back up. Owen Miller also wasn't mentioned.

    Kopech made a nice transition to full time starter last year but has had his fair share of clunkers this year and his FIP is 6.20. Can't be easy being on a bad team but expected more out of him. Hopefully his struggles continue for this game.
