    I think there is decent evidence that Peguero shouldn't pitch in back to back games on a regular basis so wouldn't automatically give him the 7th. He has given 8 runs in 2.2 innings of work the last three times he has pitched the second game back to back.

    If the Brewers intend to have Chourio up all year in 2024 then they should call him up in September, no reason to wait. Could potentially be a difference maker. However, my guess would be the plan is for him to start 2024 in AAA so don't expect him in the majors in 2023.

    It doesn't really matter if one thinks it fair or not, it's a contract between the owners and union. They agree time on the major league IL results in service time and major league pay.

    These off days allow them to do away with the 6 man rotation, which prevents Rea and Teheran from starting. I am more interested to see if he goes back to the six man when there isn't so many off days. Don't see them removing Houser at this point.

    Not a game winner but will take that double from Canha. Also, Frelick getting the guy to third with one out.

    Wilson and Sousa switched 60 man spots so four on the 60 Day. Wilson/Ashby/Ruf/Mitchell

    Will be interesting to see how Counsell handles the bullpen today. Will have to give the ball to Mejia or Wilson in a big spot.

    It was an interesting read but also gave flashbacks to High Heat.

    I think he should get more days off during the season, prior to getting hit by Anderson in the dugout he had none. Yesterday was the first day off since the All Star Break. Don't really think 3 days is necessary, still brings it defensively and would take him every day over Turang against a lefty.

    He had an extra base hit taken away by McMahon last night but a lot of lazy pop ups thus far. Has not struck out much so maybe some positive regression coming. Edited to add the below, doesn't give me a lot of confidence going forward:

    Which isn't updated in season, he is well over 5 seasons now.

    Singleton is an easy guy to root for but am going to be really ticked off he hits for the Astros right out of the gate.

    Man, Frelick's walk rate is ridiculous. Should be a perfect leadoff hitter someday.

    Well Brent Suter is back so maybe he will provide some entertainment and the return of the Jurassic Park theme.

    He actually has over 5 years of service so not going to happen.

    Can't hit ia a little strong but he is average at best at hitting this point in his career. Just not good.enough. I would love a 30 year old Canha but he is long gone and not coming back.

    After last night this is the guy they want to face, winless, first game back in the majors in months and his name is Falter. What could go wrong.

    Not in blue because it is true. Should crush him.

    Pitching staff is pretty solid right now, Will be interesting to see who the odd man odd is with Woodruff back, or who gets injured. Can't imagine they want to option Uribe or DFA Mejia with the way he is pitching.

    The day they get rid of Trevor McGill they could really use him. Guess Mejia will get some innings.

    I don't mind what the Brewers did with Anderson in the off season but don't know why we have to minimize this acquisition by the Cubs. They obtained the best player that was traded at the deadline, he is a plus on offense and defense this season and it is wishful thinking that he will turn into a pumpkin these final 50 games. The Cubs acquired a difference maker and the Brewers got some average guys that make them incrementally better. Maybe that is the way to go and proper use of prospect capital but as a fan right now it is frustrating.
