  1. Went even back further to 1985 with Rocky vs. Drago. I saw the original at the theater with my dad when I was 8 and loved it then and a guilty pleasure since then. Saw it again at the theater last night and enjoyed it, made better seeing it with a crowd again. The extra 40 minutes appeared to be marketing as I can't imagine that being true but could tell that Stallone wanted to improve the film and gave Apollo Creed some more respect and screen time with this cut. Makes sense after the success of the two Creed movies and Drago appearing in the second one. Some of the more tacky stuff was removed from this version but still has those Rocky montages, the Rocky/Drago fight was also a bit longer but probably no more than a couple of minutes. If you like the Rocky movies I do think it is worth the $4 rental.
  2. Saw it last weekend. It felt mostly like fanservice. Standing on its own, it was a pretty weak movie.
  3. Can't say I liked Many Saints of Newark as much as you. Maybe Sopranos doesn't work as a movie but really didn't enjoy it and kind of pointless. Liked the guy that played Junior Soprano but not enough of him, intrigued to learn more about Tony and his father, the actress that played Tony's Mom was also very good. Overall just don't like the direction they took with the movie. Whoever played Silvio was the absolute worst, was like a SNL skit. Hated the two Ray Liotta characters too.
  4. The movie I am looking most forward to is the new Ghostbusters movie.
  5. The AEW PPV was okay, but more about hot shotting with a bunch of new people. Story line wise it didn't really do anything. In the moment it's a nice surprise but calling it one of the greatest PPV ever is hyperbole because nothing really happened. Time will tell what they do with these people.
  6. I don't think it always come down to the best, sometimes it is about options and depth. My guess is they would option Sanchez and Gustave before getting rid of Norris.
  7. The alternative to Norris would be Perdomo/Milner. Do you think they are better options? Certainly Norris hasn't had a good first few outings by any stretch, but shouldn't call for a DFA unless you are convinced one of those guys is better. I think we give Norris a few more chances before we cut ties. And he'll actually probably be easier to hide in the back of the bullpen once September rolls around if he doesn't figure it out before then. Regardless, this is a bit of a miss for Stearns at this point clearly unless something drastically changes. The alternative for the playoffs would probably be Ashby.
  8. Free agent after this season.
  9. Got one right for once. Do think it helps the bullpen and a better option than Milner even though his results have not been good. viewtopic.php?p=1364175#p1364175
  10. A lot of bad stuff before the NWO and Attitude era. Too childish and it seemed like every wrestler had an occupation. The kids that were prime audiences in the 80s were now teens and adults.
  11. I have liked prior seasons of Dark Side of the Ring better. Besides the Pillman one not real impressed this year.
  12. AEW in general has been kind of disappointing but yes that match was something else.
  13. I think they have done a better job lately not making it as predictable. Big E has been talked about for a while ever since New Day broke up but could see a bunch of people winning. With Wrestlemania delayed wouldn't be surprised if the winner of the Rumble doesn't end up facing the champion.
  14. Same here, I am just going to get the free MLB that T-Mobile gives and then fast forward through games in the morning before work or have it on in the background since I work from home right now.
  15. There are some flash forward scenes that you won't understand but I might even recommend BCS before Breaking Bad so you don't know who lives, dies or will not appear in Breaking Bad.
  16. Finally got around to seeing the Joker and it was bizarre watching as it was like somebody wanted to combine The King of Comedy and Taxi Driver into one movie while making the main character the eventual Joker. Add in the fact that Robert De niro was in this movie as well and I now can't blame Scorsese for not liking comic book movies as even comic book movies that are more artsy are just rip offs of a couple of his movies.
  17. I am pretty sure no one is suggesting that unless you are looking at the first couple of pages when the trade first happened in 2018.
  18. Good one, but since it was posted a year and a half ago probably wasn't.
  19. You are stating that like it is fact he will be a 825-850 OPS player but highly likely he is better than that.
  20. Braun stunk most of September 2008 but had a grand slam walk off in the last home stand and the 8th inning home run against the Cubs in game 162. Braun was great in September 2011, as well as pretty much the whole year. He hit the game winning three run home run in the bottom of the 8th against the Marlins that clinched the division with a few games to play.
  21. Well before the last week I’d say he was probably not as great as they look now. Still really good. A lot of people were hoping he would have a nice breakout moving to Miller Park instead of Marlins Park...then at his age a lot of people are hoping for a nice breakout that way. Now I think he has turned his stats into the best of his career...though not as much as one would have hoped with the parks he plays at now. I guess I don't understand that last part. I expected maybe a few HR bump but certainly not a 30 HR type of guy that will win MVP awards. His numbers were not as great a week ago but still above career norms. I think expectations were too high, he was still selected as an All-Star and rightfully so.
  22. Yet there are people disappointed and underwhelmed by what he has done. Not sure what people were expecting or why their standards were so high.
  23. Brinson has had a real nice month of June thus far so maybe he is turning it around somewhat. Defense has also been real good. I would still make the trade but Brinson can still have a long, solid career.
  24. Would take Yelich over Ozuna still if money was not an issue in the future. Think Ozuna has a better chance to bust, certainly had a great year in 2017 though.
  25. I am excited to watch the left handed hitting on base machine Yelich play at Miller Park for the next few years. I may cringe if any one of Brinson/Diaz/Harrison turn into All Stars but Yelich in his prime should be fun.
