  1. Robert Murray did a great job covering the Brewers last year but was let go. I cancelled after that but will see how the new guy does since it is free. By the way I already have cancelled for July 2021 so it doesn't auto renew.
  2. Same here, I am just going to get the free MLB that T-Mobile gives and then fast forward through games in the morning before work or have it on in the background since I work from home right now.
  3. I am impressed that Wal-Mart will start requiring face coverings. After they made that decision their competitors are pretty much forced to follow them. Target/Kohl's/Meijer/CVS/Best Buy and others have already changed their position.
  4. The long term psychological and physical effects from children not socializing for many months up to several years are not known. Not picking a side here, being a teacher, I still am on the fence, but if you think kids are not socializing with other kids, drive around a little bit. They are everyplace. Big kids, little kids, kids of all ages are with each other socially. I see it somewhat but not anywhere near as before. My guess would be the majority of kids have minimal to no activity with other kids outside their immediate family. I have a son playing tournament baseball but outside of that has not been around other kids.
  5. My wife worked at a daycare collecting unemployment but was called back and only worked one day because she didn't like the precautions the center was taking with Covid-19 so no more unemployment for her.
  6. I do see quite a bit of variance between different places and people wearing masks. Used to hardly ever go to the Pick N Save near me but always go there now for food or supplies because of the high proportion of people wearing masks there.
  7. It would be awesome if the Bucks won the championship but likely no parade.
  8. K-Rod is the first guy Stearns shipped out so doubt he would ever come back here. One good thing is if he isn't retired he can't go on the wall of honor for the Brewers, so K-Rod please don't ever give up and let your dream die.
  9. They probably sold out for the novelty aspect of going to the drive-in. At that price, no way the interest level stays past the first couple of weeks. You are right about that, if they expect that kind of revenue all summer it just isn't going to happen but it can work short term. Once Marcus and others realize there is money to be made that will drive down demand and probably price as well.
  10. I thought so too about the Mallards when they were selling $40 a carload for one movie with similar type movies. However, they already sold out a number of showings (including a not so great Aladdin yesterday) so maybe the Milkmen will do okay as well.
  11. The Rock is having a Drive In in Franklin: https://www.jsonline.com/story/entertainment/movies/2020/05/15/pop-up-drive-movie-theater-works-ballpark-commons-franklin/5199042002/ The Madison Mallards are doing that. They are airing family type movies that are typically available on streaming services and to my surprise they have already sold out a number of shows at $40 a carload. They do require people to watch the movie from inside their car so that would be different from Miller Park. Can still leave the car to go to the restroom and buy concessions.
  12. If the MN stay at home order has ended I don't understand why they wouldn't be maintained.
  13. Correct regarding unemployment and refusing work, but not sure how that will play out with Covid-19. It puts people in a tough spot because if they don't feel safe they still have to report to work or risk losing a job and unemployment benefits.
  14. WIth the expanded rosters think they could use another right handed bat. If Braun plays a bunch at DH could use a better 1B option when facing lefties since Gyorko would have likely played 3B in those situations anyways.
  15. Exactly, statistically how will it ever achieve significant downward trend (.05)? I don't see it happening anytime soon.
  16. Don't really see this discussed but I honestly don't know when phase 1 will be met because the one still open will be difficult to turn green. There are between 40-60 emergency department visits every day with influenza related concerns. Not sure how there will be a significant downward trend in this category, certainly don't see it until the May 26th date out there right now. Unless they punt on that one category and say it is fine.
  17. The days of turning a blind eye to speeding during the pandemic appear to be gone. Speed traps everywhere the last few days, hadn't seen anybody pulled over prior to this since the middle of March.
  18. Certainly worthy of mentioning and obviously part of a much bigger issue with Mississippi Funds as a whole but not sure how any judgment can be made at this point regarding Favre's role. Pretty piss poor topic title.
  19. Playoffs will be expanded and I believe they will just do a seeding instead of NL and AL. For example they could take the top 9 teams and give the top 3 teams a bye (each division winners) and have the teams 4-9 play a 3-game series then 7 the rest of the way. That would put the world series sometime around November hence the reason to have a neutral site that is either a dome stadium or in a warm weather city. I fully expect the world series to be played in Miami this year. I still don't get it, in that scenario there are six teams left in the second round.
  20. There are some flash forward scenes that you won't understand but I might even recommend BCS before Breaking Bad so you don't know who lives, dies or will not appear in Breaking Bad.
  21. Hopefully places get rid of hand dryers, those ones you stick your hands in particular.
  22. With all the talk of Braun in the retired number thread it got me thinking that we might have seen the last of Ryan Braun at Miller Park and possibly a Brewer.
  23. To most it wouldn't be shocking, Gantner was here a long time but rather average while Braun was a superstar and MVP during his time. I would say there is a chance it isn't retired but more likely it is.
  24. There is no chance Braun gets in the Hall of Fame but I would say more likely than not that he gets his number retired at some point. It might be a while still though and wouldn't be surprised if Yelich is the next. Actually think if Yelich becomes a Brewer for the rest of his career and become a Hall of Fame player he might be the one encouraging the Brewers to retire Braun's number.
  25. I was thinking about that too but so much of their revenue is concessions but maybe they could figure out carside service. Also, not sure what they would be able to show that would bring in people.
