  1. Capra HR was a spring training HR. Just barely over the wall. Fly out if in a normal stadium.
  2. Chourio HR was a no doubter just off of the batters eye in CF.
  3. Umpires union I believe is the blocker there. I believe this was discussed in the last CBA to be added and the umpires union was the blocker. I think the umpires union argued it would make their job more difficult having to watch both bags. One to make sure the fielder has their foot on the bag and the other to watch for the runner. I think just making the first base bag bigger on the runners side would make this far easier than adding two bags and trying to get the umpires union to agree with this.
  4. But that is usually another year until they are developed enough. They will still need to hit the portal.
  5. The nothing easy is spot on for Marquette this season and their offense.
  6. The 5 minute stretch of we don’t know what we are doing on offense dooms Marquette again.
  7. Dang was hoping he would pitch on Sunday. Sad noises for me.
  8. Ovechkin is now 7 goals short of surpassing Gretzky.
  9. This is definitely Mr.3000.
  10. From the scouts I have talked with about Pratt they are impressed with his feel for the strike zone. Which is evident with his OBP. What scouts are dreaming on is his potential to add more power.
  11. Pratt has so much room to grow. He is 6-3 and about 200lbs. Gunnar is 6-3 220. Another 6-3 shortstop would be Tulowitzki. Yelich is also the same size and weight as Pratt. So yeah low end Dansby and at a high end I would put him similar to Yelich. If he adds more power probably closer to Tulo than Yelich. Next year will be the season to find out who Pratt is or isn’t.
  12. I was going by the scouting reports not actual results. All of the scouting reports had Riley as a 4-5 win player and Mayo is more along the 2-3 win player. Why? Because Riley is better defensively than Mayo is. Therefore Riley was the better prospect than Mayo and no ranking doesn't matter. Mayo's K% is starting to become concerning. Him going back to AAA is probably all about that K% and his defense at 3B. The Orioles are probably starting to see him as a 1B. Other teams are probably evaluating him now as a 1B and not a 3B. Though for whatever reason ZIPS believes in him at 3B. I think most scouts don't believe he can stick at 3B because of the footwork issues. He loses about 1 full win going from 3B to 1B. Also you may want to check out Cooper Pratt and Austin Riley at the same age. The only difference is SLG and OBP. Pratt has a higher OBP while Riley had a higher SLG. Pratt also played at a higher level than Riley did at the same age though those games are not really significant with only 23 games played. Also if you think the Orioles are going to come down on their price tag for Mayo you are kidding yourself. They are not going to come down on that price tag no matter what is going on between them and Mayo.
  13. Young Riley was regarded far better defensively than Mayo. Young Riley was also a far better hitter than Mayo is currently. Riley was just a far far far far better prospect than Mayo is. Mayo has the same power as Riley but he is not the hitter that Riley was as a prospect. I am not convinced Mayo will be able to stick at 3B he just doesn't have the foot work to stay there and he will have to move to 1B.
  14. Mayo is no where near as good as Riley and I haven’t seen any scouts compare Pratt to Rosario. I have seen some call Pratt a 4-5 win type player if he continues to add power. Right now on his defense alone he is a 2-3 win type player.
  15. Hmm didn’t know Nyjer had two brothers. Must have been confusing with Nyler, Nyjer and Nyger all in the house.
  16. Who is Nyler Morgan?
  17. Younger people tend to like the music that Shaq will be playing. He is one of the popular DJ’s out there. He isn’t the top DJ but probably in the top 40. Not a genre I follow but my younger coworkers like him when they saw him in Miami and Las Vegas last year.
  18. To be fair I don't think the Red Sox do this deal either.
  19. Not that the Brewers would do this but Devers is not happy in Boston. I would trade Peralta and a prospect or two for Devers and cash/international bonus money.
  20. That was more difficult than it had to be.
  21. Looking like another embarrassing loss to Xavier. WTH?
  22. There are two different genres.
  23. Oh no a music genre that you don’t like will bring in a younger crowd during a college promotion night what are we to do! The world is going to end now!!!!
  24. It is on a college promotion night so the booking makes a ton of sense. This type of music is extremely popular with college aged demographics. Will it bring in a ton of extra tickets? Probably not but the demographics makes sense for this booking.
