  1. If we could get Abram’s for Pratt (as the headliner) that would be a no brainer for me. I don’t love Abram’s game (below average D and low walk rate) but our biggest problem in 26 would be immediately solved and long term we wouldn’t need Pratt anymore anyway. I would also be willing to send Peña instead of Pratt, but not sure if I would be willing to send Made. I haven’t seen any other names at SS that feel viable to me for 26 either through trade or FA. And I think Abram’s probably doesn’t get traded this year anyway.
  2. I am expecting Yelich to DH pretty much every day but I like constructing a roster where he could get sent to LF more often if they acquire a 1B/DH bat somewhere along the line
  3. This is the first year in a long time we haven’t all been trying to fire the hitting coach so this makes sense
  4. Honestly can’t believe he got the QO. Hope they are prepared in case he accepts.
  5. I read $106m, and so they should be able to add $15m or $20m. They also have about $16m falling off next year from buyouts, and Yelich is only 3 years left. So they really do have the capacity to either extend some guys, or add an AAV around $25m at 5+ years I think. Although realistically next year is better to add salary, they could pull it in a year after a record breaking season, both from wins and profits. Personally I would try to extend some guys. Mis, Frelick, Turang, etc., not sure all their status but look at that group. My top choice is probably Freddy. He might sign maybe 5 years $100m which is an under pay but it’s offset by the raise he gets in 2026 from $8m and he gets his big payday without another year at risk for arm injury.
  6. I’ve never seen someone get hit in the head with a rocket and care so little
  7. How Priester is only a 1.4 WAR player this year I have no idea. 141 innings of 3.25 ERA. I know the answer is FIP but I still reject it. Kyle Hendricks has 1.3 WAR with a 4.80 FIP in 149 innings. Those players are not the same.
  8. I liked the trade fine and still do but only if he actually plays to his season numbers and not the 48 wRC+ he currently has with Milwaukee. But overall every year I feel more and more it’s best to just punt the trade deadline unless it’s a star player or filling a major hole. More trade busts than ever this year all around the league. These mediocre players having nice years on losing teams just can’t cut it after changing teams and getting dropped into the middle of a postseason run.
  9. I was hoping I had seen the last of CRod for the year
  10. Yeah right now I’m kind of wishing we kept him. Cortes in the rotation, Mis to the pen, CRod back to AAA, what a nice move that would be right now.
  11. I’m a little annoyed at the playoff race this year because the list of playoff teams is practically settled and there is still so much baseball to play. The only NL spot in play is Mets (90%) vs Reds (8%, 2.5 GB). The AL isn’t much better with primarily the Mariners (87%) and Red Sox (90%) fighting off the Royals (15%), Rangers (9%) and Guardians (7%). Let’s hope for something interesting in September like a Mets or Red Sox collapse to keep me interested in non Brewers baseball. The Yankees doomsday media stories are pretty fun and they are 95% and that would be great to see but I think it’s very unlikely, they are probably on track to make the playoffs and get knocked before the WS.
  12. Vaughn has been crashing back down to earth over the last few weeks. I'm not ready to give up on him but I am ready for Rhys to take some at bats.
  13. I'm happy Patrick can get some more MLB innings, he deserves it
  14. I’m starting to think our pitching isn’t as good as it was a month ago
  15. Nate Lowe released. He was a guy i wanted in the offseason. Didn't work out for WAS.
  16. I have never gotten the free burger but I will probably go buy a regular burger just to support them for their team support
  17. Fischer at 6 feels high but I think they like to put the new draftees on the board
  18. TMJ4 said they emailed the Brewers media and they replied to say "fans should monitor the news for updates".
  19. Is there any chance they cancel? I think the parking lot is/was flooded and some roads are closed.
  20. It's almost unbelievable that just 4 months ago his FA projection was maybe 4/$80m or so, he's healthy, and he's now probably 1/$5m or 2/$15m.
  21. Looks like Devin Williams is pitching his way back to Milwaukee on a cheap 1 year deal. 5.73 ERA not sure if anyone will want to touch that.
