  1. If they adopt the DH would they postpone it a year or so anyway? I can imagine teams being unhappy about needing to fill the last minute roster spot.
  2. I don't know what to make of the Mets last year. Incredible how the entire offense underperformed. I suspect there are some buy low bargains on that team, though McNeil is low on my list. I think his power isn't coming back which makes him more of a util.
  3. I'm pretty excited that Fangraphs called us an average system. There are a number of players with big 2021 seasons that they aren't buying, though. Gray, Howell, Warren for example.
  4. The problem is that both sides probably would give up 50 games to make the deal 1% better for them
  5. 3 is my first guess, 4 is my second guess No one involved cares about spring training. No one involved is in any rush whatsoever (always last minute deals).
  6. I actually wouldn't mind White as a part time 1B/DH to start the season because I only really care about who is playing there after the trade deadline this year
  7. Forgot this was the dude blocking Alvarez and Tucker for awhile.
  8. You can’t really sleep on prospects when BOS clearly valued them in the $5M to $15M range
  9. I feel like I have been very anti MLBPA lately, which probably isn’t a popular take. It just seems they never propose anything to improve the game, only to get more money for the veteran players. The owners at least usually have a mild interest in improving the game and therefore their business.
  10. I’m on the fence about this one. I feel like it still leaves us with an incomplete outfield and I was optimistic that JBJ could bounce back a little bit.
  11. I don't know enough about Pham's defense to comment on it. But is there a specific reason you think he'd be a poor defensive RF? Negative Def stat the past 4 years and been playing LF almost exclusively
  12. Not sure but I thought Pham would be a really poor defensive RF so he was off my radar
  13. He probably would have taken the QO then. The draft compensation would have further trimmed his 13.25m AAV.
  14. I guess the projections are still kind of a mess with bad 2020 data and half of 2021 with/without cheating pitchers.
  15. Yeah, only ones that feel low to me are Jace (OBP) and Narvaez (AVG). I still think we should try Brosseau in RF unless we add someone else to play there.
  16. I was wondering if he is in the mix at RF. I am not expecting us to make a big play there anymore unless a trade is available.
  17. I see him as DH only
  18. Count me in on Conforto if the QO suppresses his value. I’ll give up a draft pick for this win now team in a heartbeat. Would be better than trading a good prospect or sitting out on FA.
  19. Saw another source that had him at 5 years 65mil including posting fee. At that rate I'm all in. Seems like the best opportunity to try to make this happen.
  20. The thing that frightens me even more about Yelich is his 362 OBP with only 248 AVG and 9HRs. With a low average and poor power, a high walk rate is not sustainable.
  21. I think it’s about $180M we owe Yelich. If we can’t find a team that just wants the contract (very likely) then to convince some team to take that much bad money would require a real game changer, it can’t be done with minor players. I think we have between 2-4 guys like that in our org. Burnes, Woodruff, maybe Peralta, maybe Hader.
  22. I would have been all for a Hader trade but after the Williams incident and Adames trade I don’t see how it’s possible. Either trade a SP or Williams I guess.
  23. At this point I’m still pretty convinced that Yelich wanted to cash while he was still getting away with cheating or drugs or hiding a degenerative back/knee/whatever injury
  24. Don’t squash my dream! The Yankees will take him, right? They have money, he would like New York.
