  1. Thanks for playing, Debbie Downer. Lol It was supposed to be a thread on what you would like to see them do.
  2. As long as Drake stays on this 40, Gallardo is safe. But to your point, I don’t thing this move alone will stop Stearns from churning the bottom of the roster. That seems to be one of his favorite things to do.
  3. 1. Part ways with Capers 2. Hire Dave Aranda to replace Capers 3. Thompson retires (or asked to step down) 4. Hire Elliot as the new GM 5. Restructure: Clay Matthews, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb 6. Franchise Davante Adams (concussions scare me away from 5-year deal) 7. Sign DeMarcus Lawrence if the Cowboys are dumb enough to let him walk.
  4. Why does age matter?
  5. That's what I read as well, excellent fastball/slider. Changeup is inconsistant. When/if he can control that changeup, then you have a TOR, until then, don't put him in a position to fail. You never get to work on a third pitch coming out of the pen in the situation he does. You’re limiting your best arm and never allowing him progress.
  6. What playmakers has Thompson drafted since Matthews? Their personnel stinks regardless of scheme. Hayward seems to be doing alright in Charger land. Lol I used to defend Capers too but it just is time.
  7. Capers defense can’t get off the field on third down. Shocker.
  8. The problem is you’ll never know if you don’t use him as a starter. That’s the point. In 2018, the Brewers are not winning the series, so why are we not trying to maximize the best arm this franchise has had maybe ever.
  9. 1. Anderson 2. Davies 3. Gallardo 4. Woodruff 5. Hader Long- Suter RP- Jeffress RP- Houser RP- Williams RP- Barnes RP- Free Agent (Addison Reed?) CL- Knebel
  10. Couldn’t he sign for say, $750K and put a bunch of incentives like adding $2M if he makes opening day roster, another $2M if he makes X amount of starts... something like that?
  11. Most likely he wanted to stay in the Bronx.
  12. Pujols DFA’d? No chance.
  13. They won 80 games last year...then will suck by adding players to that team without really losing anything? I fully expect Pujols to nose dive even more, Kinsler and Cozart to both just me meh players. Ohtani, who knows. 80 wins might be their finish again but the money spent on 80’wins is funny to me. Angels remind me of the Yankees a few seasons ago. Patching holes with older players.
  14. The Angels are going to suck. It’ll be somewhat funny to watch.
  15. -They allow Williams to get 20+ carries still. -Jordy Nelson becomes Jordy Nelson again. -Aaron Rodgers gets the ball out of his hands and stays healthy.
  16. Let's break this down into simpler terms. This is all I will ever need to read from you. Be gon'
  17. This was well-written but to me, it was written on behalf of the 1%'ers. Someone like you that is well-read in terms of baseball statistics it makes a lot of sense and you probably can use the numbers to help back up your claims/arguments. But there are just so many others, again to me, that don't have a flippin clue what they are using or why they are using it when they begin to express themselves on certain players. That's my issue with it. I do go there myself for things you mentioned above as I do find some things very interesting though.
  18. I wish the Angels had any prospects worth a darn because they are a great team to target to move some pieces.
  19. I think I'd rather give them Brinson. He'll probably give them about 100 games a season.
  20. As I see more teams signing guys today, maybe the waters are beginning to open up and the Brewers will actually do something this offseason.
  21. What would it take to take Rhys Hoskins off their hands? He'd be fun to have on our team.
  22. I don't think I've ever read anything on this site that I disagreed with more. That's okay. We all have opinions. I'm just in the camp that thinks the majority of fans see a lot of these numbers, uses them in arguments, and really have no clue what they are using them for.
  23. Meh. Just because we are the poor team at the meetings, don't justify it as that is what other teams should be doing. Or that they will regret signing who they sign. That can happen at any dollar amount. I bet that Stearns might have really loved to have a decent bullpen last season when they kept losing games late. Heck, it might've even bumped them into the playoffs. Maybe we need a little history lesson but the Brewers still do not have a World Series to hang their hat on. Other teams do. They've figured it out before. The Brewers? Well, we know what they do.
  24. I don't see anyone taking a "militant" stance against signing a reliever. I see people not acting like the world is ending just because we haven't panicked and overpaid for one yet. I keep seeing this from a lot of people. Who says they are overpaid? The market establishes what a reliever is worth. Now, whether or not the Brewers want to pay that is another thing but calling them overpaid is not correct, at all.
