  1. I think it’s more that Hundley is a draft pick investment and Callahan is just some guy.
  2. Must have been a war within people own insecurities.
  3. So what's an ace? Just the best pitcher on any given team? Sure. No matter where you go with this argument, people will just say you’re wrong. Really no sense arguing it. You’ll have a group that says there’s only like five aces in the league. A group that says your teams go to guy, and a group that doesn’t acknowledge really anyone, no matter what stat line they produce, they just can’t be an ace because of their name. So I guess, which one do you fit in? Because Jimmy was an ace last year.
  4. Oh please. We can list off excuses but Hundley is not a starting QB in this league.
  5. Ace of our team. So yeah.
  6. Cy Sneed... how’s he doing these days?
  7. Don't want this to turn political but I'm tired of the people saying they are so glad they can say "Merry Christmas" again. As if it was ever something you couldn't say to someone. Soooooo dumb.
  8. How awesome is that he is getting this shot for the team he broke through and groomed him? What a story this could be if Yo can find his younger self. I still would love to have seen that 2008 team with Yo on it.
  9. It's been a month now but it still could happen. Fingers crossed!
  10. If the Brewers don't see Hader as a starter than I hope we trade him either now or during this season. And then I hope whatever team is lucky enough to have him stuffs him in the rotation and shoves it in the Brewers faces each and every year that he is a stud starting pitcher. Meanwhile, the Brewers will continue to look for TOR type pitchers. Yes, this is speaking out of spite but I truly believe in Hader.
  11. I would be willing to guess he would attack hitters differently as a starter. Using his 2nd & 3rd pitches more often. Not gassing up as much meaning he probably is a bit more accurate. The difference being when he needs it, it is there for him to use. Most starters don't have that to fall back on.
  12. Last season the Brewers got starts from: Matt Garza, Junior Guerra, Paolo Espino, Tommy Milone, Brandon Woodruff, Wily Peralta. These are guys I would consider our "5th" starter a season ago when you leave Nelson, Anderson, Davies and Suter in the top four spots. The combined stats of these guys is the following: Starts: 57 (over a third of the games, these turds were taking the ball for us. Gross) Record: 15-20 ERA: 5.64 Now... Do we not think a guy like Chacin could move the needle and have gotten us another win last season that we needed to make the post season? The more guys we sign like Chacin, possibly Gallardo, and whoever else comes next means we hopefully won't have starts like guys I listed above. And yes, I realize I included Woodruff in there but he just wasn't that good last season. Hit the wall most would say. Agree with everything above except your final point on Woodruff. Prior to his final start where he was donkey slapped he was posting a 1.23 whip, 2.9 BB9, 8.2 H9, 7.1 K9, 3.76 ERA through first 7 starts I stand corrected. Good find. Well that bolds even better for this upcoming season if we are looking at the following: 1. Anderson 2. Davies 3. Chacin 4. Suter 5. Woodruff
  13. Right. If we just had this guy a season ago, we'd be hanging another Wild Card banner to start the season. lol!

  15. I'm starting to think the Brewers are literally never going to announce the Gallardo signing, so why would they announce Chacin? I'm thinking they must be waiting for something else to happen ... I'm guessing they have one or two trade offers out there that would clear 40-man space, and they are waiting on confirmation from the other team. Hopefully, something will happen by the end of the week. I definitely think there is something to this. We have had multiple reports saying that there are offers out there on the table and they are in a holding pattern. Like you said, it'd be great to get a few Christmas presents by the end of the week!
  16. I'm just excited to hear the move announced so we can all change tune and freak out over who it is we release from the 40-man roster!
  17. Just so you are aware, only 29 guys (who threw the qualified number of innings) last season toss under a 4.00 ERA. Chacin was one of them. (30th in WHIP, 17th in AVG, 40th in K's, T13th in GS)
  18. Well, that sounds like good value. Considering what we paid Garza over the last couple of years.
  19. I won't speak for all but my first pessimistic post was due to him taking possibly taking a spot from Hader, Burnes, Woodruff. After researching and reading more on this guy, he's a good fit for Milwaukee (contract pending). I just am ready to see what our young horses can do and at first, it felt like we signed an old guy just to sign him. I was wrong and hope he pitches well for us.
  20. I really hope we can give them Broxton for a couple more good prospect pieces or one really good one. That would be ideal considering what we gave up to get this guy.
  21. Isn't that a given that they will unless Ted is fired before the draft? Under Thompson, they have traded out of the 1st round twice in thirteen drafts. 2005- Arod 2006- Hawk 2007- Harrell (I went irate) 2008- Yes 2009- Raji 2010- Bulaga 2011- Sherrod 2012- Perry 2013- Jones 2014- Clinton-Dix 2015- Randall 2016- Clark 2017- Yes
  22. The more I have looked at the guy, the more I've gotten on board. Gotta stop being so reactionary but this guy can obviously help us this season if he throws it like he did a season ago.
  23. Per MLB Trade Rumors
  24. It looks as though the Packers are almost a lock for the 15th/16th pick. That's a solid place to be to grab some good talent. It will be interesting to see if they try to trade out of that area to obtain more picks.
