  1. Couple potential spots depending which direction you’re coming from. Haven’t parked there in a bit, but used to street park on 51st, 52nd, 53rd between Wisconsin and Bluemound. From there it’s a pretty short walk through Mitchell Boulevard Park and then the parking lot west of the stadium. More recently I’ve been doing Roundhouse Road off Canal Street, easier if you’re coming from south or east of the stadium. There’s a No Parking 2 Hours Before / After Stadium Events sign when you first turn onto Roundhouse, then there is a long stretch of curb east of the Palermo’s driveway with no such signage where I normally park. Got my first ever ticket there the home opener this year ($40 currently on appeal) but have parked there a hundred plus times before without getting one and have parked there again this year since the home opener without getting another ticket.
  2. Griffin Tobias with his best outing yet throwing 5.1 scoreless with 3 H | 5 K (& of course zero BB) for the ACL Crew.
  3. Yeah, believe I saw the Jrue/Kristaps moves get them under the second tax apron and saves them something like $200M on their tax bill.
  4. Going all the way back to 2022 there are 168 players with at least 400 PA as an outfielder. Of course Mitchell doesn't rank very high in plate appearances, his Milwaukee-centric 414 PA rank 165th. Even with such little playing time, his +5.1 BsR is 43rd and his +6.8 DEF is 30th among those 168 outfielders. (Sidenote: of the 23 outfielders between Blake Perkins (+13.4 DEF | 17th) and Jackson Chourio (+3.3 DEF | 39th), in the DEF column on the 2022 to present leaderboard there are nine Brewers or ex-Brewers - Perkins, Grisham, Taylor, JBJ, Sal, Wiemer, Mitchell, Dubon and Chourio - franchise sure loves them some outfield defenders.) Ok, back to Mitchell. Combine that positive base running and defense with his slightly above average hitting (career 102 wRC+) and you have a guy whose 2.8 WAR is 85th on that outfielders since 2022 leaderboard.
  5. Thought I'd give this a bump since Coby Mayo recently took his 100th plate appearance as a Major Leaguer. Over 107 PAs he is now at 155/234/196 (27 wRC+) with a 35.5 K%. Tiny sample. but in only 87 innings at 3B he already has -4 DRS | -2 FRV.
  6. Lefty on the mound too. On the one hand that's a bad thing, Brewers 91 wRC+ vs LHP is 17th in MLB so far this year. On the other hand that's a good thing, Brewers 14 W - 9 L record when facing a lefty starter is 3rd best in MLB so far this year.
  7. DSL Gold holds on for an 11-5 win. Francis Sosa got in on the doubles action alluded to upthread while Eryks Rivero went deep for his first home run as a pro.
  8. Good timing. Was just looking at the DSL leaderboards and noticed that Joan is 9th out of 197 pitchers (min. 10 IP) with a 2.26 FIP so far in his young career.
  9. DSL Gold has resumed play and is back to business top of six with a single, three walks, and two wild pitches plating a pair of runs to make it a 7-1 ballgame (there goes that mirror stuff again) through six. Carlos Canales has covered the last three frames with 1 R | 3 H | 0 BB | 2 K.
  10. DSL Blue has gone final with a 7-1 loss. Picked up a hitless run in the fifth when Frandy LaFond walked, stole second, went to third on a groundout, and scored on a wild pitch. Jhosep Ospino pitched a 1-2-3 inning (1 K) amidst the carnage to run his season total to 7.2 IP without being credited with an earned run.
  11. Almost a perfect mirror for the early DSL results... DSL Gold 5 R | 8 H | 0 E DSL Tampa 0 R | 1 H | 3 E DSL Red Sox 5 R | 8 H | 0 E DSL Blue 0 R | 1 H | 2 E Gold are delayed bottom four, Blue are still going bottom five. Gustavo Garcia (3 IP | 1 H | 0 BB | 3 K) delivered the strong mound work for Gold before the delay while a trio of Gold batters (Juan Martinez, Matthew Moses, and Pedro Tovar) doubled. Cristian Montilla also knocked a two RBI single. On the Blue side Jefer Lista has singled, Carlos Done walked and stole a bag.
  12. I'd guess Patrick down for Woodruff, and one of Anderson or Hall down for Cortes.
  13. Three more in the third extends it to a 10-2 lead for the ACL Brew Crew. Handelfry & Perkins singled before an RBI ground rule double from Quintana. A Frederi sac fly and Fielder single scored the other two.
  14. Joshua Quezada recorded three strikeouts in the first inning for the Zona Crew, but a wild pitch and a couple singles ended up with a run crossing the plate. No worries, Brewers bats have answered back with seven runs in the bottom half. Perkins single (steal), Quintana HBP, Frederi walk, Corobo two RBI single, Fielder RBI single (steal), Flores HBP, Nadal RBI single. Ereu sac fly, errant pickoff, Handelfry RBI single.
  15. Not just solved....WHOA SOLVDD
  16. Reds gave Jeimer Candelario $45M for three years of baseball before 2024. Out of 236 players with 500 PA since then Jeimer has a 74 wRC+ (224th) and -1.0 WAR (233rd). Reds DFA Jeimer Candelario.
  17. There are only 15 All NBA spots every year. NBA All Star spots would be the appropriate comparison for MLB All Star spots. Giannis is pretty much a consensus Top Four guy in the sport based on his selections to 1st Team seven years in a row and finishing no lower then 4th in MVP voting during that time. Durant is more like a Top Twenty or so guy at this point, he only impacts one end of the floor and on a limited basis due to his health/age. Desmond Bane got Memphis a better trade return (KCP, Cole Anthony, four unprotected FRPs, and a swap) a week ago than Durant just got the Suns.
  18. DSL Gold also picked up a 3-1 win in early island action. Gabriel Colmenarez opened with 5 IP | 1 UER | 1 BB | 3 K before giving way to two scoreless frames from each of Saul Sanchez (2 H | 3 K) and Ruben Saldana (2 H | 2 BB | 2 K). Eleven strikeouts for the Gold batters, but Kenny Fenelon came through clutch with a pair of sac flies (in true On The Island fashion he also had a caught stealing and an error) while Isais Chavez singled twice and Nicolas Barrios doubled.
  19. Yeah, some impressive outings from DSL Blue today in a 6-0 two hitter win over Dodgers Bautista. Johandry Ramirez started it off with two perfect frames (1 K). Lonell Downs did the heavy lifting with 5 IP of 1 H | 1 BB | 3 K work to earn the win before Johan Zapata picked up the save putting up four ones with 1 H | 1 BB | 1 HBP | 1 K over the final two innings. Offensive standouts included Yoneiker Lugo (two singles, RBI), Jefer Lista (two singles, two RBI), Moises Polanco (single, two stolen bases), Jhoanjel Saez (two walks, stolen base), Angel Gonzalez (single, two walks, two stolen bases), and Kegnnalex Seijas (double, walk, two RBI).
  20. Durant is going into his age 37 season an an expiring contract. Rockets will probably need to extend him around $60M AAV through age 40. In the five years since his Achilles he has made All NBA 2nd team twice with high finishes of 9th and 10th in MVP voting those seasons. Giannis is going into his age 31 season with two guaranteed years on his deal. He wouldn’t be the age Durant is now until the end of the extension he would sign with a theoretical acquiring team. He’s been All NBA 1st team the last seven years (six unanimous selections) and hasn’t finished lower than 4th in MVP voting any of those seasons. The difference in value between Giannis and Durant is considerably larger than maybe one more first round pick.
  21. Lillard and Haliburton both probably came back from injury too soon, especially considering the increased intensity of the playoffs. Tatum had more or less been the healthiest All NBA calibre player for his eight years in the league and had six deep playoff runs in there too, he was probably just due for something big. 12th among active players in postseason minutes, the 11 guys ahead of him have a combined 178 seasons in the league for an average of 16 seasons each.
  22. Biloxi holds on for the 3-2 win. Six different Shuckers took the mound with five of them posting zeroes… Tate Kuehner 3 IP | 4 H | 3 BB | 5 K Zach Peek 2 IP | 0 H | 0 BB | 2 K Brian Fitzpatrick 1 IP | 1 H | 0 BB | 2 K Bo Bowman 1 IP | 0 H | 0 BB | 0 K Will Childers 1 IP | 1 H | 0 BB | 1 K
  23. Tobias Myers five scoreless with 4 H | 1 HBP | 6 K and Craig Yoho with a 3U3D (1K) eight pitch save are a couple nice sights in the Nashville box.
  24. Yeah, if the Rockets wanted Giannis package would need to be more like Green, Amen and Jabari Smith Jr., plus #10 in this year's draft, and the 2027 firsts they are owed from Brooklyn and Phoenix. But it doesn't matter because Giannis doesn't have appear to have any real desire to leave MKE at the moment.
  25. Haha, I was just checking in before I gotta do some stuff this afternoon, but hopefully a fruitful day for the affiliates (& the big league club too).
