  1. Brewers only had a one run lead and Patrick has been getting killed third time through the lineup... Patrick 1st time (89 PA) 256/348/308 Patrick 2nd time (90 PA) 229/258/325 Patrick 3rd time (36 PA) 303/361/576 Hall was specifically called up as a fresh arm to cover multiple innings for an overworked pen.
  2. Patrick 1st time (89 PA) 256/348/308 Patrick 2nd time (90 PA) 229/258/325 Patrick 3rd time (36 PA) 303/361/576
  3. From 2020-24 among 212 hitters with at least 400 PA against LHP, William Contreras tied for 3rd with a 165 wRC+ over 501 PAs. Only Judge (189) & Goldschmidt (179) were better and the other two at a 165 wRC+ were Ketel Marte and Yordan Alvarez. This year among 180 hitters with at least 40 PA against LHP, William Contreras ranked 160th with a 34 wRC+ over 64 PAs entering today's game.
  4. If you think the Brewers have been a wet fart this year, get a load of the Red Sox. $211M payroll, Big Trade for Garrett Crochet, Big Free Agent Alex Bregman, three Top Ten prospects (Campbell, Mayer, Anthony), lotsa preseason hype to be the AL rep in the World Series…currently sitting at 27 W - 28 L.
  5. Today was Chourio’s 18th game batting leadoff with 12 of those games (including today) against a lefty SP. Entering today Chourio had a 143 wRC+ in 66 PA vs LHP. Who would you bat leadoff vs LHP?
  6. Biloxi comes back with a five run inning to tie things up at six each in the sixth. Adams HBP, Lara & Boeve walks, Wilken lineout/E5 to score the first run, Miller RBI ground rule double, Spain 2-RBI ground rule double, Vargas single and a Restituyo E6 to score the last run.
  7. Coleman Crow had a rough first inning giving up three runs, but Biloxi is fighting back in the second with Brock Wilken & Zavier Warren singles plus a Darrien Miller walk loading the bases up with no outs for Garrett Spain who responded with an RBI single to get the Shuckers on the board. Bases still loaded with nobody out for Jheremy Varga who lines into an unassisted double play taking out the runner at third. Will be up to Bladimir Restituyo now.
  8. Miles Langhorne gets the ninth inning call and works around a pair of walks and an E6 before punching out the last batter to secure the 27th out (for real this time).
  9. Good thing there was another inning for the Mudcats after all. Jose Anderson walked, Filippo Di Turi doubled, and a Demetrio Nadal groundout tacked on a ninth Carolina run.
  10. Whoops, got a little ahead of myself.
  11. Not quite so efficient in the 9th allowing a pair of walks and a single, but ultimately put up the zero to notch the three inning save.
  12. Easton McGee gave up a solo shot in the first, but NASH answered back with an Adam Hall single, Oliver Dunn single, EMJ double, and Anthony Seigler sac fly to take a 2-1 lead into the second.
  13. Arizona Brewers youngest batters lead the league in walks, Carolina Mudcats youngest batters lead the league in walks, Biloxi youngest batters lead the league in walks. & here I though kids these days had no patience, not to mention the old "Can't Walk Off The Island" old school scout take.
  14. We've Got A Walkfest. Luis Lameda the latest recipient. You Get A Walk ! & You Get A Walk ! & You Get A Walk !
  15. & now Reece "I'll Buy The Beer" Walling walks home a fourth Mudcat run.
  16. & Demetrio shows no respect for his elder by singling home a third Carolina run.
  17. Meanwhile opposing pitchers have been 23, 22 and now 25 for the Nationals.
  18. & Tyler takes his walk to put the Mudcats back on top 2-1.
  19. Filippo walks to load the bases, will be up to Tyler Rodriguez (or Demetrio Nadal barring a double play) to get themselves some RBI.
  20. Made walks & steals second, Anderson walks, Made steals third to get runners on the corners nobody out. Bitonti strikes out and now we've got Babe Di Turi at the plate trying to cash them in as Anderson steals second.
  21. Gets the first two batters to ground out to SS, then gives up back to back singles on his 93rd/94th pitches. Looks like they're rolling with him for at least one more batter and he gets the strikeout to end the inning. Impressive outing.
  22. Sam still working hard at 77 pitches through four innings with 2 H | 1 R | 3 BB | 5 K and a wild pitch. Looks like his season high is 82 pitches so that will probably be it for him.
  23. Literal boy among menz (Jackson Ross especially).
  24. That 6th HR ties Filippo for 5th in the Carolina League so far... Freili Encarnacion (8 HR) 20yo | 6'2" | 181 lbs Ramon Ramirez (8 HR) 20yo | 6'0" | 180 lbs Caden Powell (7 HR) 21yo | 6'3" | 200 lbs Cesar Hernandez (7 HR) 22yo | 6'0" | 195 lbs Jackson Ross (6 HR) 25yo | 6'2" | 210 lbs Filippo Di Turi (6 HR) 19yo | 5'11" | 165 lbs
  25. Filippo Di Turi (1 HR in 613 PA entering the season) went deep for the sixth time this year (177 PA so far) to lead off the second inning.
