  1. Quite the conundrum. I want the bears to lose but I want the game to end so they switch over to the Packers.
  2. A family member just passed after contracting it from family. No way can I handle the thought of picking it up and bringing it to my parents for Christmas. So my decision about holiday travel is settled.
  3. Not MLB news, but this has just become the next thing I hope to see happen to the cardinals.
  4. I'm having a hard time making up my mind whether or not to come to Wisconsin to visit my family for the holidays. It's not a fun decision.
  5. I have not kept track but it’s got to be close to 50% of the extra point attempts I’ve watched so far this season have been no good. It doesn’t even surprise me anymore.
  6. I did my weekly weigh in this morning, after 4 weeks of once a week 24 hour fasts (2 this week though) I'm down 5 lbs. I was hoping for more after the hot start after the first couple weeks, but I'll take what I can get. It's easy enough so I see no reason to quit now.
  7. Am I jaded for having a bad gut feeling regarding Bird Dog?
  8. Sounds like we shouldn't hold our breath for more installments of 'Rillo's Rant either then.
  9. Agreed although for the sake of neighborly relations it would be good to convey that you were not the cop caller.
  10. Losses stalled this week and I fell off the wagon with a big t bone last night and half a pizza today. Going to make it two 24 hour fasts this week to try and make up for it.

  12. What a feast for the eyes. The only thing that could have made it even better is if it were the cards' dugout he was looking into on the first base side.
  13. Some great memories at County Stadium. Was there for #2,999 for Yount. He gave one a ride out to center field later in the game, I wish that thing would've carried. Our family seemed to have a knack for getting rain delays when we went. On one family outing we got to witness this during a rain delay:
  14. I’m pretty sure you’re talking about the legendary Dion Rich
  15. Man. The tractor part is just sad. If I ever broke into the stadium I would either want to stand at home plate hitting baseballs, or get on the PA system.
  16. 2nd weekly fast was Tuesday, even easier than the first time. GAME's tip about having some salt for headache was a great call, I just had a few little pinches of salt throughout the day and that took care of it. For me the once a week fast is something I can do really easily so I like it. I'm going to call it Fast Tuesday. As far as results go, it seems to be working well. I'd been eating fairly healthy and getting regular moderate exercise, and I walk about 3.5 miles per day according to my phone. Weight had been at a standstill, now after 2 24 hour fasts, I'm down 4.5 lbs. There definitely does seem to be some truth to what I'd read about how it promotes fat burning and HGH production when you fast.
  17. The last couple posts are a bummer for a guy trying to lose weight by eating less, doing moderate exercise and walking the dog longer to read.
  18. Had to go pick up the lady from work when the rally was getting started. [sarcasm]you’re welcome[/sarcasm]
  19. I know we're supposed to promote good sportsmanship and eschew violence, but honestly I wish they just would have brawled. I would love few things more than to see a slow motion video of the knuckles of a Milwaukee Brewer smashing into the teeth of yadi.
  20. So I jumped in and went with a 24 hour fast yesterday. It was not hard at all, actually. I just made sure to drink water and that really helped to stave off hunger. I'm going to make it a once a week thing for a month and then reassess or plow on if it's working. I'm pretty motivated to fit back into all my old pants that are a size down. Preferably before the crotches go out on the ones that fit me currently.
  21. Hah when you guys were screaming Yelich and Braun the first thing I was thinking was that they both struck out, had to check the score to see.
  22. What I'm wondering is, who would be the fall guy for the hitting coach? In 2012 our pitching struggled and the bullpen stunk so they fired Stan Kyles the bullpen coach, and Kranitz got to stick around until the end of 2015. Different regime, I realize. But who besides Haines could they blame? Do bat boys ever get fired? Are there bat boys this year? I don't know who else they could fire but organizationally they cannot pretend that this year's offense is up to snuff, even with the roster construction being what it is. I would have to imagine they'll make a change after the season.
  23. We've had people threaten to sue the moderators of this board. Always fun. Hilarious. And from the way you phrased it, sounds like it's happened multiple times. Good grief, some people are so off, the only thing you can do is laugh about it.
