  1. The Brewers didn't want Adames. They offered the QO to get the draft pick, not to keep him. They wanted no part of his aging years. Given that the Brewers gave up on him, you still gonna be there tonight and boo him? Offering him one year can be viewed as an insult, at least non-competitive, and obviously way below market value. If my company offered me well-below market value to stay, I would see the writing on the wall and leave as well. I would go where I was wanted.
  2. No Yelich makes this poll incomplete at best. A traveshamockery at worst.
  3. Last 3 games and 5 innings: 15 runs for the cubs. 13 walks by Brewer pitching, 7 have scored.
  4. Enough with Priester. Yikes, 5 walks and a HBP. Still no runs, which I give him credit for.
  5. I just don't think 102 mph off the bat is a big deal when it has a negative launch angle. I imagine it's not going nearly that fast when it ends up in a glove after bouncing three or four times in the grass.
  6. Let's put this in proper perspective: I really want them to win today. Most things are about me. Ask my wife.
  7. This is not fun. Vaughn misplayed the line drive, dropped the pop up, Ortiz dropped the stolen base throw, Jansen dropped the relay(wouldn’t have mattered), but the whole thing is off.
  8. Sure would be a shame if, you know, something happened and your car wouldn’t start. A real shame…
  9. Murphy is 170-113 as a manager. He just hit the .600 mark with this win.
  10. Helsley just came in with a 3-2 lead for the Mets and gave up two runs
  11. To the people that think Ks aren't bad and that an out is an out: Cubs batters struck out for the last six outs when all they needed in the eighth was a sac fly or a ball in play to at least get the contact play on. Then, in the ninth, they got a one-out single and three Ks. You hate to see it....heh heh.
  12. Do what I do when I have a question...
  13. Rereading the thread, I read torts prediction as 110 wins, including the wins it would take to win the WS. So he is predicting 99 wins and 11 in the playoffs. Is that correct, @torts? Either way, love the prediction. I am feeling ashamed that I only predicted 90 wins.
  14. I think the discussion of who we would like to see the Brewers has not gone well recently, much like the Brewers' injury luck at the end of the year. I think that most people wanted the Dbacks instead of the Phillies or Braves in 2023, I know that playing Atlanta in 2021 sounded a lot better than playing either of the 100+ win Dodgers or Giants (with the Cardinals being the other possibility). Beating Washington in the 2019 wild card game sounded like a good matchup. We often frame these discussions in how much it would suck to lose to a certain team, such as the Cubs or Dodgers. It would also feel awesome to beat them. 6+ weeks, 42 games left, the only thing that is certain is that much will change before then.
  15. Hey @Brock Beauchamp, tomorrow’s poll: Greatest #20 in Brewer history: Gorman, Lucroy, Sutton, Lockridge.
  16. They were at 94-63 in 1982. They lost four in a row to make the last game of the year a winner take all game against the Orioles.
