  1. Last night, Rizzo got picked off between second and third. John Sterling said about the Yankees, "That's what they do, run the bases like they are drunk!" Awesome stuff. I hate homer announcers. When I am watching, and Rock or Dillard says "Frelick has really been hot on this homestand" and I can see that Frelick is 4 of 16 on the homestand, I hate it. I already think that they attribute things to bad luck way too often. When I lived in Cincinnati in the 90s, Marty Brennaman would definitely take the team or players to task while doing play by play, while Joe Nuxhall was much more of a cheerleader as the color guy. I liked the combo. That said, I like BA. Not so fond of Dillard. But I'm gonna watch anyway.
  2. Usually, when you move a guy, it's because his bat is too good to leave out of the lineup, and/or his glove is not good enough for a premium defensive position. Like O'Neil Cruz in Pittsburgh this season. Not sure what the benefit is in moving Frelick. Flexibility, sure, but he better bring a +glove to the position, since most of his time would probably be in late-innings.
  3. I have been conditioned for several years that Adames is gone, so I don't really think about it. He had a great walk year, especially on counting stats. This sums up my feelings:
  4. Without looking back, I think I remember that there were a few posters that wanted Seitzer when CC left last year.
  5. Right back at you, Jesse. Poor baby.
  6. I hope they get as much money as they have been getting. I assume that if the pot gets bigger, everyone gets richer, and that is a "rising tide lifts all boats" situation. I don't believe that they will ever get the type of tv money that allows them to fundamentally change the way they do business. I just hope that they don't go backwards. That said, for the amount of entertainment I get, the hours of game broadcasts I consume, my enjoyment of having this site to chat, MLB is a bargain, in my opinion. I watch on my laptop, my tv, my phone. I listen and watch many out of market games while driving, taking a walk, doing yard work, or working in my home office. Getting involved with watching and reading about the team makes me want to go to more games. It all works together. $120 for Bally's. $140 for mlb.tv and the audio. Subscribe to this site, which I visit nearly every day. Screaming deal. It seems that some on here want the Brewers to spend money while not wanting to spend their own to watch the product. I don't get it. I loved Mel Allen and his TWIB Notes, and reading the weekly box scores in the Sporting News at the library, but it was a slow drip of info. Compared to the access to games, minor league news, and inside info that is available today, it's a treasure trove. I recently went to the pumpkin patch. Being a big shot with a credit card, I decided to pay for my kids and grandkids. Fun day, corn maze, petting zoo, all of that. It was $15 a person (close to $200), and that hurt, but when I found out it didn't include a pumpkin!?!?!?! I lost my mind. I will start all over in Arizona this March, again, I am sure. When do pitchers and catchers report?
  7. Okay, you need 4374 outs in 162 games. Add in a few extra inning games, let's call it 4400. Forget innings, divide the outs up among 20 pitchers. GO!
  8. I agree with those who think Woodruff will never be as effective again. I’ll be surprised if and when he pitches in mlb. I hope I’m wrong, but I always assume the injury will be worse or take longer to recover from than expected.
  9. If you are writing Woodruff in pencil, shouldn't he be a #2?
  10. Feyereisen and JBJ jerseys here tonight
  11. Brewers haven't had a stretch that bad since 2001-2004 (four losing seasons in a row). That pre-dates the message board era. Yes, I know that there have been boards since the 90s, but not like now. I think this place would be a ghost town if they had a stretch like that, yes. And it makes me shudder to think of the tone of this place with the people who stayed if you removed hope from the equation.
  12. And one more on its way today!
  13. Can I make a point for the way Brewers have operated? There is a lot of praise for all of the Orioles' young talent, and rightfully so. They have drafted well, and are set up for good things. But they are 0-5 in the playoffs the last two years, and their fans had to live through seasons from 2018 to 2021 with 110, 108, and 115 losses (25-35 in Covid year) to get where they are. That's a four-year stretch where the fans had to watch their team go 190 games under .500 (178-368). Would a lot of us still be here after all of that?
  14. Three nights in row! I don't have much voice left, but I will be there! You should be, too!
  15. I have two tickets in 411 if anyone wants them. You may get stuck with me sitting next to you, so while they won't cost you any money, you will pay somehow.
  16. The booing was so minor. Really, I would describe it as a smattering. To be fair, Murphy claimed it helped in the Dbacks game when they were down 8-0, so who knows?
  17. I was there last night, and will be there again. You should be there, too.
  18. It's hard to not feel like a chump for paying full price.
  19. He might be flying. I hope he is. I just don’t know.
  20. Trump will be speaking in Waunakee and Milwaukee tomorrow. I have been looking for indications of whether he will drive from Waunakee to MKE, or fly. I live in Waunakee, and am worried about traffic disruptions. I have been in cities where presidents have visited and they shut down a lot of roads for a long time if the motorcade is coming through. If 94 gets shut down, I need to plan a lot more time to get to the game. Anyone who hears anything about how he will get from one place to another, let me know. Thanks.
  21. Shocking! 6 runs in the8th! Ignited by Tyrone Taylor.
  22. Mets are gonna Mets this up, aren’t they?
  23. Tyrone Taylor causing havoc on the basepaths this inning. What a wild infield hit he just had. Spinning ball off of the end of the bat that was at least 10 feet foul and spun back in. Then, stole second, went to third on a groundout. And, before I was done typing, he got stranded at third.
