  1. Did anyone else wonder if the ball was really in Frelick's mitt? I had this sneaky feeling that he was acting. He never showed the ball.
  2. He had last night off, but started and finished the previous 8 games before that. He’s playing a lot.
  3. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/brandon-woodruff-injury-update-brewers-two-time-all-star-wont-pitch-in-2024-following-shoulder-surgery/#:~:text=Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon, miss most of the year. Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff will not pitch in 2024 as he recovers from last fall's shoulder surgery. Woodruff, who required maintenance on the anterior capsule in his right shoulder, had originally been expected to miss most of the year. He recently conceded that he'll focus instead on coming back strong in 2025.
  4. Whew, that was close on Frelick’s steal
  5. And why would the Dodgers need to trade? They have an 8 game lead. Maybe if they value the one seed over everything else, but talk about a team that can afford to be patient, it has to be them. Unless $300 million doesn't go as far as it used to, and Ohtani, Freeman, Will Smith, Teoscar Hernandez, Jason Heyward, Gavin Lux, Chris Taylor, and Max Muncy (at some point). I am having a tough time worrying about the Dodgers.
  6. They are on my all-Aquatic team with Steve Lake, Mickey Rivers, Tim Salmon and John Wetteland.
  7. Well, Trout is out, so I guess Brewers will win!
  8. Contreras acting like he had some blood in his mouth. He didn’t take a shoulder or knee to the head, so I’m hoping for the best
  9. Just took two of three from one of the hottest teams in baseball.
  10. That was scorched. Nice job, Perkins!
  11. Yeah, I’d take EDLC. 22 years old, he’s Brett Favre.
  12. Ok, Willy, new pitcher. You know what to do.
  13. Then Turang says, “you thought that was nice? Watch this.”
  14. Wow, 96 at the top of the zone. That was nice by Koenig
  15. Kind of thought it was yes/no. I would love to have him.
  16. He’s pretty darn exciting. Causes havoc.
  17. Beautiful park. Nice setting. I love the downtown stadiums. Sat on the first-base side for a night game in 2018.
  18. Oh cool! I give up with hoping for positive injury news.
  19. https://www.mlb.com/brewers/tickets/specials/wisconsin-fridays I am going with a group of ten that got section 123 for $27 per.
  20. Great post. The notion that the bullpen will run out of gas is typed out on this site as fact and rarely challenged.
  21. Two teams who run their opponents ragged on the bases. Will be exciting.
  22. I think that this team is remarkable. As I wade through the "game over" posts and constant negativity about the team in the IGT, I get frustrated. I can't change people. I feel as if once the games go to the bullpens, this team's got more than just a puncher's chance. The starters have been keeping the team in games night after night. The Brewer bullpen is so good, and most teams don't have close to what MKE has. I haven't seen Elieser Hernandez pitch, but who do you dread coming into a game? There are no Chafins on this staff. No Manny Parra to strike out the first two batters, then walk three in a row. Just a guy like Koenig to come in from nowhere and be terrific. Oh, and let's watch Paredes be lights out. Devin's out? Megill's got your back. Remarkable. I hate the games where it looks as if the team has no chance to score. Where I see lifeless at bat after lifeless at bat. Seemingly every batter starting off 0-2. Of course. But a 2-0 deficit is different than 6-0 because there's a chance all the way to the end. There have been games where the bats have done nothing for seven innings, but because the pitchers keep it close, it just takes the ol' "bloop and a blast" to get them in the game.
