  1. First Friday half-price tix! I will be there!
  2. The alternative is what you have in fastpitch. If there is a runner on first and third, you may as well just let the runner on first go to second because it's really hard to stop it from happening. There has to be some counter to allow defenses to be effective.
  3. Agreed. If they all agree to stay a few games below .500, and the Brewers stay 10+ over .500 all summer, I like the odds.
  4. I completely missed the Cavan Biggio trade. Glad those plucky Dodgers could get some help.
  5. Maybe he thinks Hudson and Megill are the bad ones. I dunno
  6. I just don’t feel the current Frelick can turn a fastball around.
  7. You new here?
  8. Deep bump from August 2023. With their win on June 1 over the White Sox, the Brewers moved to 12 games over for the season, and, for the first time since September 29, 2001, got back to 200 games under .500 for the history of the franchise. As of today, still 12 games over, they stand at 4190-4390. Surprising they lost that 2001 game to the Rockies that day (14-12), when they were able to throw pitchers such as Mac Suzuki, Jimmy Haynes, Mike Buddie and Gus Gandarillas(?!) at Coors. Since 2005, when Attanasio took over, they are 1574-1469. 105 cheap-ass wins over .500. Up next: 150 games under. That's just two 97-win seasons away (give or take).
  9. Brewers are one of ten teams over .500 in MLB. Only 7 are more than 10 games over. Those ten teams are 149 games over .500. I like that the Brewers are clearly in the top tier of MLB right now, far exceeding projections. Was listening to the Giants-Astros as I went for a walk last night. The Giants announcer said, "Milwaukee beat Detroit 3-1. Man, the Brewers just keep on winning." Which I loved from a non-divisional rival announcer.
  10. I’d like Vinny to try shutting up for a few seconds. He’s exhausting to listen to
  11. Come on Freddy. Let’s get some length today.
  12. Contrast that with this inning, lol.
  13. This is fantastic information. There's a lot of feast or famine, always has been. '27 Yankees scored 976 runs in 154 games. 337 of them (34.5%) came in 26 games (16.9%). They scored three or fewer 40 times (26% of games) and went 12-28 in those games.
  14. Three frustrating games that gave me nightmares from last year. Frelick's HBP may have lost a game for them, when have you seen that before? I know, don't count on a wild pitch to win a game. Philly's defense was great as well, and the number of plays that were thisclose was maddening for a series that was tight the whole way. People keep posting that the pitching can't keep it up, but maybe they can! Can't argue with how the opener strategy worked this week. I hope they keep using openers. It really felt like a playoff-type of series to me. Fans at the game sure treated it that way. The season is over one-third done. I don't think it's homerism to think the team is who they are, and barring any more bad injury luck, they will be in it until the end. I look forward to playoff baseball again this year.
  15. This whole series has been stupid. Phillies seem to have as good, if not better defense, than the Brewers do, if these three games are any indication.
  16. Will quote myself to say, well done, Ashby.
  17. Come on, man. Get a clean inning. Or at least one without a walk.
  18. With all the close plays at first, the slow rollers that resulted in an out for MKE and an infield single for them, the hbp that kept a run from scoring last night, the Sanchez liner just now, this has been such a frustrating series. I have had a lot of bad word outbursts.
  19. I am glad that Ashby is signed until 2029. It may take me that long to trust him.
  20. How about some luck?!? Frelick getting hit was like the ground rule double in miami
