  1. Those AL pajamas and the NL softball uniforms are just awful
  2. Hey, Civale, welcome! First start, Dodgers in LA. Second start, a matchup with Mr. Skenes. I hope the Brewers wipe that stupid mustache off of his face.
  3. You have got to be kidding me.
  4. Since 2018, the Brewers are 12-24 in the week before the all-star break. That includes the infamous 5-game sweep in Pittsburgh in 2018. They are 1-8 against the Pirates in that time. I hope that Yelich and Contreras decide they have a nagging injury and the whole team gets to rest from a week of baseball I couldn't care less about. Let Philly get a couple more than the seven players they already have on the team. Find a rookie with fewer starts than Skenes and let him go. Maybe the Padres have another guy who has played fewer games at second than Arraez that can get chosen over Turang. Tyler Wade has played 11 games for San Diego at second, choose him along with Arraez and his SIX games at second. This team needs a few days off. Maybe I do, too.
  5. Is there any concern with Sanchez? He went on the 10-day IL on June 26. He was eligible to come back on July 4. I guess there is no reason to rush him back.
  6. What do you hate more: a pinch hitter who strikes out looking, or a relief pitcher walking a leadoff batter?
  7. By the way, rhyming "Civale" with "valley": mwah!
  8. For the life of me, I could not remember why Ross was even on the IL. I assumed his elbow or shoulder. Lower back strain? It just seems like hardly anybody comes back quickly from injuries. DL Hall and his knee, Mitchell and his finger. Bukauskas had a setback. Uribe had knee surgery. So discouraging. Hoskins came back quickly, and maybe that's why you don't rush guys back. Slugging .313 with an OPS around .594 in over a month. What a disappointment he has been. If third base is the Hot Corner, 1B for the Brewers should be called the Black Hole. And I'm not even talking about Tyler and his .610 OPS. Looking at you next, Joey Ortiz. I assume that he will be given through the All-Star Break to get back. Today is day 10 for Sanchez and his calf strain. Will he be back soon?
  9. Nats-Mets. 0-0 tie in the 8th, broken up by a PH homer by Jesse Winker off of new reliever Adrian Houser. LOL
  10. ***Shhhhhhh, say that AFTER the Brewers face him!***
  11. Devin Williams, Opener! They'll never see it coming.
  12. I’m just pleased that he didn’t get doubled up after Yelich danced around and got tagged
  13. Is it ok that I’m tired of Rhys Hoskins?
  14. Can you tell me what the news has been on Devin Williams? Have I missed the Brewers updating his progress? Google search has an article from May 18, I feel like no news is not good news in this case.
  15. Here we go! Will the roster look different by the end of the month? Will the team keep winning series? How many games up will they be by July 31? Schedule: 4 @ Colorado 3 @ LAD 3 Pit 3 Wash ASB 2 @ Min 3 @ CHC 3 MIA 3 ATL 24 games, 12 home, 12 away I will take 14-10. 8-4 at home, 6-6 road.
  16. “Peralta with a Jekyll and Hyde performance.” Your quote. You’re saying you weren’t referring to today?
  17. Nobody on this site but you uses “Freddy” and “ace” in the same sentence, but by all means, keep calling him out during a 7-inning, one-run outing. He gave up one run, and that’s Jekyll and Hyde to you.
  18. Did the Brewers come out and say they were saving Rea for the Cubs? Or was it a matter of giving him a couple of extra days of rest? Maybe I am misremembering, but I don't recall many times in previous years where they set up a rotation for an opponent (Playoffs excluded). Maybe Greinke and Sabathia around the ASB. In fact, I think the opposite has been discussed in the past where this board has wished they would manipulate the rotation for certain opponents. I know they've skipped starts, but this seems unusual. And all that just to play some last-place team with a new manager?
  19. The only “gaslighting” is from guys like you who watch a team go 48-33 and insist somehow that what they are doing is not working. There is no combination of moves that the Brewers can do to match up with the likes of what the Dodgers can put on the field. So they make incremental moves to try to improve the team.
  20. Monasterio’s turn because why not? 18-5 at home since their 7-7 start.
  21. Uecker called Contreras “one of the hottest hitters in baseball” when he came to the plate.
  22. Another day, I have to say, Is Rea okay? (apologies to treego)
