Where does he fit in? They have a lefty DH in Yelich, so not there. Tauchman isn't much with the glove so not in the OF either.

It would be like running a 9.7 sec. 100 yard dash and 5 days later running it in 11 secs. . Miz lost it over 1/2 inning. It would be different if it was over 4-5 IPs and fatigue set in, but here it was only 1/2 inning.

Just hate to see Koenig come in lately. Since mid June he's allowed runs in every other outing plus allowed runners he inherits to score far too often. Right now he's good for only blowout type games where it doesn't matter.

Very worrisome when Miz loses 4-5 mph on the fastball over just one inning. I don't know if he was aiming it or something more serious was going on, but it's something to be concerned about. 10 walks in only 18 IPs is a disaster that finally caught up with him.

Devers refused to play 1B for the Red Sox. He said he is a 3B, period. The Giants get a primadonna DH.

Brewers Trade Aaron Civale To White Sox For Andrew Vaughn

Another Arnold garbage trade. Not even getting salary relief for Civale makes no sense. Milwaukee would have been much better off keeping him until the deadline then at least unloading some salary to a desperate team. -
Zero chance I'd even think of McMahon, even if it was a 1 for 1 trade. McMahon is a product of Coors Field. He's a .214 hitter away from Coors. He also would cost Milwaukee far too much for his value (about $39M through 2027). If the Jays would move Clement, Arnold would have to include a pretty good prospect and Civale to get them to even think about it. A lot of interesting ideas above.

With free agency coming up, Civale is rightfully concerned about the financial hit he would take if moved to the pen. I think the best way to handle this would be to let his agent try and find a deal the Brewers could live with while Milwaukee's front office activly tried to move him too. They have enough depth to do it. Now days I don't see any player resenting him doing this. They all realize it's a business.

The Brewer whiff boys are out once again. 11 Ks in only 18 outs. Extremely difficult to win when they only put 7 balls in play in six innings. The Brewers meager offense has now scored a total of 5 runs in 33 innings.

Peralta will be far too expensive to re-sign, so I would look to trade him at the deadline IF Milwaukee can get immediate, cntrollable help (3B or SS) as part of the return. Getting a bunch of low, low level maybes like the writer suggested from Cleveland doesn't help for years and maybe never. The Brewers aren't that far away from contending and Yelich and Contreras aren't getting any younger.

I could see getting Urias if the cost was minimal. Since he's a FA next year the A's couldn't be looking for much and at the very least he's an upgrade over Monasterio and Durbin. No he's not going to make a ton of difference, but he could be a good fill-in guy next year for not a lot of money.

That a boy Yelich. Yet another failure. Hoskins with a little dinky fly ball. This pathetic offense is hard to watch. Hopfully they can keep it at one and get a couple in the ninth. Right now .500 would be very welcome.

I don't think you're giving Brewer fans enough credit. IF the return was for immediate longer term offensive help, IF the return was for prospects in A-A+ I think you would be spot on. If the trade brought some of the offensive help they need, I believe almost all fans would understand. They realize the Crew is going nowhere this year. I think fans would turn out to see some of the exciting younger guys and a better offense.

Sell-Sell-Sell. The Brewers chance of going to the W.S. is somewhere around 1/2 of 1%. Retool for next year and beyond. Peralta is obviously the gem and if traded, he has to bring immediate offensive help plus something else. I believe Milwaukee may opt to keep Quintana or Woody to go along with the bunch of young guys who are ready for their shot. Losing Peralta is ok if he brings help that is badly needed. I don't think Milwaukee will offer Hoskins a qualifying offer, so he is probably gone. If he brings something decent make the deal. Cortes and Civale won't bring much of anything.

No way in the world I'd trade Lara for a rental like Kiner-Falefa. He would make little or no difference and he's gone at the end of the year.. I like Urias to the Crew, but I can't imagine the O's trading him for Black, especially with Westburg hurt. The guy I'd target is Josh Smith of the Rangers. He's a backup infielder for the Rangers and they have Foscue waiting in the wings. Smith comes with 3 more years of team control. He's not going to be a top five 3B, but he can give the Crew .260's BA/14-15 HRs/.730-740 OPS. He plays a good 3B and he can play any infield position.

Can't wait for Perkins to be back. Churio with yet another error that could easily cost the Crew the game.

When they needed Peralta badly, he turns in his worst performance of the year!. 100 pitches in 4 1/3 and walks in a run. He was completely off with everything. Great job by Anderson coming in and bailing him out of any further damage. Maybe the Crew can get to the Pirates' bullpen.

Churio's 10th K in his last 15 ABs. He's 3 for his last 30. Yelich rolls over on yet another pitch. You can't blame Murphy for this pathetic offense. He's got the worst 3B in baseball, the worst SS in baseball, and his infield replacement hitting zero. Yelich below the Mendoza line as his DH, Churio in a horrific slump with no end in shight, and nothing in the minors that would help anytime soon.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Durbin and Collins prove me wrong. This offense is brutal to watch flail away, especially with RISP. It's long past due, but Arnold should be looking for bargain basement 3B instead of relief pitchers.

Does Patrick have any kind of breaking ball. This is the first time I've seen him pitch and so far everything is hard and up. Cutter and what Rock said was a slider looks like the same pitch. Changeup is pathetic and same speed as cutter. Twins have to look for nothing but FB/Cutter, up in the zone. It makes hitting much, much easier when you know what's coming.

Even if they could get Yelich to agree (extremely doubtful) to go to Colorado, the Brewers would have to throw in a boat load of cash to get the Rockies to make the deal. Probably nearly enough to pay Yelich's whole contract. This year McMahon playing in Coors: .212/6 HRs/11 RBIs/30% K rate --- Yelich: .211/7 HRs/26 RBIs/27% K rate. What would Milwaukee gain from the trade? -
3B hitting 0.00 - SS hitting .170 - LF hitting .207 - RF hitting .129 - Catcher hitting .227.......Could this be one of the worst lineups in MLB this year?
