  1. Should we sign Kotsay for OF depth? Lockridge looked pretty lost in RF last week. This team keeps winning no matter who is playing so I'll just support whomever.
  2. We're winning without him, need him down the stretch for the playoffs. Rest him now make sure he's 100% don't want this coming back and nagging him and he's out for the playoffs.
  3. Big stretch coming up for the Crew here with 0 off days. I'm glad we have some W's "in the bank" here this is really going to test our depth. But what hasn't this team overcome yet this season? Bring it on! I'm looking forward to a game on TV every day.
  4. When we win a World Series. Or a Playoff series for that matter. That's what all my "metrics" are looking at. All this is great right now, but it doesn't mean crap unless we make a deep, deep playoff run or win it all. We'll just be the 2001 Mariners right now and still plenty of games left.
  5. I noticed this last night as well. I bet it has more to do with like family vacations and stuff like that. They both have been with the Brewers a long time, and are probably getting some vacations in now before the home stretch into September when we'll see them more together. Their ribbing of each other always seemed friendly and genuine to me.
  6. It is crazy the amount of infield hits they get. A fast lineup top to bottom you can get a lot of infield hits off weak contact. It puts pressure on the D, and it's mentally draining for the other team as well to get beat by little dink hits.
  7. Ah yes, Ben Hendrickson. Man he put up some awesome minor league numbers, we all thought he would join Sheets and Gallardo in the rotation...but man he couldn't do it in the MLB. Can't remember why. Think he didn't throw that hard, only had 2 pitches maybe. Chad Fox was a great late innings bullpen guy. Did he ever become a closer somewhere? He was our setup guy right? Guessing mid 2000s?
  8. Still pretty crazy how good he's been. I remember he played a bit with the team last year, I was watching his first mlb hit game with his family there. And thought he'd make a nice backup outfielder kinda player for us that was young and controllable...now he's a starter and mashing. And plays good D. Impressive.
  9. I am unfamiliar with the Jays. Are they like us just a good mix of prospects and some of their bigger hitters having good seasons? Vlad Jr. and Bichette still mashing? That's another sleeper team over there that's good in the AL no one talks about.
  10. I love this thread for 2 reasons. 1) It means the Brewers are winning again, something growing up in the 90's and early 2000s I didn't think would be possible in my lifetime. 2) random Brewer photos I have long forgot about.
  11. I guess I'd rather have him out now, and 100% for the season end and playoffs, then play through it now, and be out end of year.
  12. Brewers front office strikes again. They knew to cut ties with him back then. A lot of people including myself didn't want to give up on him yet but man, he has been a mess. Still liked him, great D seemed like a fun guy.
  13. I thought these were the classiest fans in baseball? That respect the game and don't care about wins and losses? :) Love to see it.
  14. Yep this move seems to fly under the radar still. What a pickup.
  15. How about we just trust this Brewers Front Office knows what they are doing? How many similar comments did we all see on these boards for the Vaughn trade, the Priester Trade, any signing this off season the past couple years and you know what? These deals have worked out for the most part and proven all of us wrong. There's a reason they were FO of the year last year, and most likely this year as well. Manager of the year too. How about we all just shut up and see what these guys can do and trust the system? I think they've earned that from us. Didn't we add Donaldson really late a couple years ago to our roster down the stretch? If we add any veteran depth going forward, I bet it will be a really late add like that again and work out maybe? I was disappointed like the rest of us, but looking back at all our moves the past couple years most of them worked out pretty damn good so I'm just gonna trust these guys know what they are doing.
  16. The Gas Brothers. Sounds nice.
  17. If we do make a move, it's going to be for someone no one predicted. Some younger person who has a lot of team control left who can help us at least through next year is my guess.
  18. Thanks for bringing my thoughts back down to earth with 2025 stats. Yep I'm clearly living in 2024 still haha.
  19. Whenever Haase was in, it seemed like he mashed and had a good bat. Maybe something wasn't clicking right with our pitching staff and him or his defense they wanted to upgrade? At this point we just trusted the front office and it will be cool seeing a local guy play for the Brewers and do pretty good and give us a little more pop we need.
  20. The Brewers early 70's block M caps were pretty much the same M as the Milwaukee Braves caps, but in blue and yellow. Agreed the ones this weekend looked slightly thicker, especially on the batting helmets. But still nowhere close to the Michigan block M which is much much thicker, and a darker shade of blue and lighter shade of yellow. I love these Brewers caps! So simple.
  21. You know someone will do it. Try to paint a regular one and sell it for higher. Wow very cool, I would of wanted that for sure for the collection. Nice work.
  22. Lol yep. That post and comments are coming. Every trade last 2 years as been pretty criticized and it's ended up working out for the Brewers. It's almost like they know what they are doing after winning Front Office of the year last year and most likely again this year.
  23. I think what this team has this season is they have the pitching and scrappyness/clutch to be that team that we always talk about that gets hot at the right time and can win it all. Doing it for Uke has a nice ring to it too. They're on a mission from God.
  24. This is why I was asking if attendance was up? I don't remember this happening last year. Miz has a buzz around him that reaches even non hardcore baseball fans.
  25. Anyone think we'd be the flame throwing Brewers 20 years ago watching Curtis Leskanek and Derrick Turnbow "throwing gas" at 95-96mph out of the pen closing games out? That is impressive man.
