  1. Yeah I just put everyone in and figured if they didn't sign the admission would just take him out.
  2. Something went wrong with my top portion??? The bottom part is my list.
  3. I would mind giving Rafael Montero a shot but he hasn't been good since 2022.
  4. Jacob MisiorowskiJeferson QueroTyler BlackRobert GasserBrock WilkenCarlos F RodriguezCooper PrattMike BoeveLuis LaraYophery RodriguezJosh KnothEric Brown JrLogan HendersonLuke AdamsEric BitontiBrett WichrowskiJuan BaezTyler WoessnerDylan O'Rae 1. Misi- The stuff is still there, probably more like a top 50 prospect than tip 20 in my book. The top 3 are all close. 2. Black- Wherever he plays the bat will be good with some power coming through. Again probably borderline top 50. 3. Quero- If he comes back like last year probably #1 overall in the system but I have to hold the injure against him some. Probably borderline top 50 as well. 4. Pratt- Needs to get to Appleton, some more power and he could be #1 at the end of the year. Top feels right. 5. Yophery Rodriguez- The 5 tools are starting to shine recently. Plate discipline is improving it seems. 6. Gasser- Hard to rank with the injury, 7 feels ok with the solid big league debut but out a year. 7. Knoth- At 18 has held his own in A ball, the stuff looks great. 8. Wilken- He was the hardest to rank for me could decide between 5-10. Good to see the power coming through. 9. Henderson- 64k to bb in 45 innings is great, last couple starts haven't been great. 10. Wichrowski- Solid stuff, has adjusted to AA, looking for a great end to year. 11. Letson- Has been wonder in A ball, if he can add some mph's over the next few years there could be top of the rotation stuff. 12. Bitonti- As good as it gets in rookie ball, needs A ball. The power plays. 13. Boeve- AA seems good, is going to need to add some pop to be a big time prospect. 14-17 Payne, Levonas, McCabe, Burke I am going to lump the 4 big rookies in together. 18-Adams- The most overlook prospect in the system. With the huge obp, underappriciated speed, and big power lots to dream on at 20. 19. Lara- Hasn't been terrible and at 19 in A+ is great. Just not as sparkly as I hoped. 20. Arienamo- I probably should have him higher, has bee great. Some power showing and even taking some walks. 21. Yoho- At 24 and a reliever I have a hard time going higher but I could see him in the top 10 easy. 22. P Car Rod Not great this year but still young enough to be a big time stater. 23.Baez. Solid year, at 19 there is plenty of upside. 24. O'Rae. Probably should have stayed in A+, but the speed and eye will play. 25-27 Pena, Made, Anderson. As a rule I don't try and over rank players in the Dominican league but I could see these guys close to the top 10. 28. Manny Rodriguez- A few more mph and I would have him in the top 15 easy. It's crazy that he could be this low. 29. Shane Smith- Working well as a starter, another good potential pitcher barely in the top 30. 30. Di Turi- Hasn't been great in A ball but we saw the upside early. 31-40 EBJ, Ademcechzki, Ortuna, Birchard, Blalock, Kuehner, Herrera, Cornielle, Hunt, Patrick
  5. Has Shane Smith still been around 95 as a starter? Our AAA rotation next year could be CarRod, Misi, Smith, Patrick and Wichrowski/Henderson sounds amazing.
  6. OK, this is off topic but how much can an undrafted free agent sign for? Could a team work with someone like William Schmidt who pulled out of the draft and not get drafted and then sign them as a UDFA for like 10 million. That way the player gets payed and goes to a team they want or is there a max for UDFA. Also have we signed any UDFA other than Feilder, is there a timeliness to sign undarfted players.
  7. In the end it won't matter that we didn't sign Levonas or Nunnalee unless they become all-stars. If we can get 3 productive players this draft becomes a success. There are plenty of HS talents and decent college players to make that happen. I think the biggest fault of this draft was that in day 2 we didn't take a higher thought off top 150 or HS player to protect against not signing Levonas, ala Pratt last year. That way there was a plan a, plan b, and plan c.
  8. Don't rush Wilken, I like the idea of trading Black for a young mlb ready IF prospect if he isn't 1B ready. We also could get a IF starter in a Devin Williams deal if his value is close to Burnes. We will have Sal, Andruw, Dunn, and Collins potentially next year. Boeve and Wilken will also be in AAA so the could move up if none of the options work well. I would love to move Yeli to platoon 1st/DH (he will donfine at 1st just put the foot down)(i am sure it will be a bit better for the back) with Rhys (depending on option) and go Sal/Mitchell/Chourio in the OF with Blake a 4th OF and Yeli occasionally.
  9. Looking at other trades that went down who do you feel we missed out on? For me with prices so high on arms I think we missed out on not trading an arm. I doubt Hoby or Payamps would have gotten a huge return but either should have gotten 2 at least interesting pieces. 1) The overall price the Cardinals paid for Fedde was insanely low. Just Edman, the overall package the Sox got for Fedde, Kopech, and Pham was less than what I thought we could/would offer. 2)Isaac Paredes for Morel was a steal for the Cubs. Even if Paredes regressive some I think getting rid of Morel was huge for them. Paredes could have helped at 1st and 3rd (with Ortiz struggling) and taken over 3rd next year for a relatively low price. 3)Civale deal was great, even though he hasn't been great I would say we got him for a lot less than if the Ray's waited until the deadline. (I like the Mears deal a bunch as well especially after watching him throw). 4)Amed Rosario for a 27 year old with a 5 era in AAA seems like a great deal (maybe the reliever has a bigger arm than I am thinking) Rosario would have been a really nice bench piece.
  10. We're the T-rats short on pitching that Cornielle had to stay in for 12 runs. I feel like after 7 or 8 runs you usually take a struggling pitcher out. How many guys in the Domician league do we expect to jump to a ball next year. Pena and Made seem like near locks with Andrson and Ortuna as possibilities.
  11. Pretty sure Cortes is on the market only if the Yanks add Flaherty or a bigger name pitcher. I wouldnt mind him but really wouldn't give much up.
  12. Montas has decent stuff still but is getting lit up. Why not just let Junis be a starter If we are paying 1 cent of his deal we got robbed.
  13. If this is true I might throw up. Montas has been trash. Junis is better heads up. Seems like throwing Weimer away for nothing. And to the Reds
  14. I still dream of a speed lineup that spring training had me thinking C=Contreras, 1B=Black 2B/SS/3B= Ortiz, Turang, and Frelick OF=Mitchell, Chourio, Perkins, Weimer DH=Yeli 7 guys with 30+ sb potential and Weimer and Ortiz capable of 15-20.
  15. Great post on Paredes, it makes me feel better about losing out on him to the Cubs. I just think Morel is trash, basically a poor man's Javy Baez so the Cubs did great even if Paredes isn't the same player in Wrigley.
  16. Mitchell, P CarRod, and OF CarRod for Fedde and John Brebbia Sox get 2 guys for now with really good upside and CarRod #2 as an eventual 4th OF. Fedde and Brebbia is another upside reliever. He has a 5 era but his strikeouts are way up and his FIP and advanced stats point to a much better pitcher. Remember the White Sox are one of the worst fielding teams. Also has a team option for next year. It's alot to give up for Fedde but needed to think we have a chance this year. We could always trade him in the offseason as well if need be.
  17. Love this, Blalock seemed to be on the 40 man cut line since he has been iffy in AA. I like Herrera a bunch but again our depth really makes him a borderline top 30 prospect. I doubt anyone would have picked him in the rule 5 if that is the case but it makes him a lot easier to move. Mears looks like a guy that can have a big improvement. His fastball has been worth 9 runs, and his breaking stuff has been -3. He has a beautiful 12-6 curve and his slider has a nice shape. Getting him out of Coors should make those pitches way better. The k rate over 11 means he can easily be a late inning guy.
  18. Baumeister=Wichrowski Horvath=Juan Baez but older Etzel= OF Carlos Rodriguez with some power Don't forgot the Eflin's contract was back loaded, so he make 18 next year even though it was a 3/40 year deal.
  19. Jazz to the Yanks for 3 prospects. Not announced who yet.
  20. I read that the Rangers were looking into Mountcastle. Does that mean Nate Lowe could be available? Both are good defensive 1B. I think Lamonte Wade would be a perfect Yeli replacement. Not alot of power but .400 obp and good defense at 1st. Rhys could DH almost full time. What would we think a price would be? 2 prospects in the 10-20 range or Peguero and a prospect.
  21. With Devin, Ross, Hall, maybe Bauk, and Paredes(???) added to the need for another starter we should trade a couple relievers. I am OK with sending one of Perkins, Mitchell, or Frelick somewhere but would prefer a young mlb level pitcher not someone with limited control. With Weimer and Hicklen I am OK taking the injury risk.
  22. What would we put as a value on Peguro? It seems like harder throwing 7/8 inning guys are going for a ton right now. Yimi Garcia just was traded for Jonathan Clase and a lower value catcher. (Clase is a near top 100 prospect in my book) Hunter Harvey got Cayden Wallace and a comp a pick (Caleb Lomavita) Peguero being 6 years younger and 4 more year of control than Yimi and 2 years younger and 3 more years of contol than Harvey. Maybe I am higher on Clase and Wallace but I wouldnt mind trying Peguero if we got a package better than the Harvey deal.
  23. I have been throwing Ashby into deals as a money balancer. I have been assuming teams would rather have Ashby than eat a larger chunk of money. I do agree though he has been so bad most teams would probably just eat the money and have the roster spot.
  24. I like Jazz but that prospered package is insane. Perkins and Boeve seems like a bit much adding Black and Knoth would be robbery. That is probably Crochet value.
  25. Would we have any interest in Jazz Chisholm? He would be a nice 2B for 25 and 26. He could play OF and some IF the rest of this year. I like Jazz a bunch but wouldn't pay a big package for him. The speed aspect is nice and he was a solid defensive 2b. However he does strike out more than he should. Does anyone know if Brent Rooker can play 1st. He isn't a good OF and I doubt we would pay a ton of prospects for a DH. However if there is one bat I would want it would be Rooker. Last one for now. Would a Perkins/Mitchell/Frelick for Quinn Priester (maybe more) deal make sense. It was reported they could trade pitching for a bat, with Weimer and Brewer playing well I still am not against trading an OF for a young upside pitcher. I like 3 of there top pitching prospects Chandler, Ashcraft, and Harrington as well. Is the inter-division aspect to much to overcome.
