    Chourio's 8th inning double is new the hardest hit ball in his career at 111.6 EV breaking his previous record of 111.2. A 20 year old hit a ball 111.6 mph leading off the 8th inning down 1 run against the LA Dodgers closer. Incredible.

    It's not a silly narrative. Peguero has allowed 64% of inherited runners to score this season and has been terrible against RHH this season yet Murphy continues to bring him in to face RHH with runners on base.

    Yupp. If you're pitching path involves Peguero potentially coming in mid 6th inning just let him start the inning.

    Pat Murphy when it comes to putting a RP in leverage spots against RHH whose numbers are the following against RHH - .262/.373/.374, 17% K-rate, 14% BB-rate, 1.62 WHIP.

    I think Haase has been DFA'd and outrighted before. If so I believe he could elect FA if he was outrighted a second time, but I'm a bit fuzzy on those rules.

    Yeah his FB is a very underrated pitch by the fanbase. It's a very good pitch in its own right (that he's gotten quite good at commanding over the years btw) and when you factor in guys need to be focusing on his changeup it plays even more up. He's just got a plus FB that plays double plus because of the changeup and an 80 grade changeup. Just for comparison's sake. Yoho's changeup that everyone has been raving about has the same horizontal movement and 6-7 more inches of vertical movement despite throwing his changeup 6-7 mph slower than DW. DW's changeup is and will forever be a circus pitch. That combo of spin, velo, movement out of a RHP hand just shouldn't be possible.

    Nowhere in that comment does it say DW should be eased back. You just straight up said Megill has earned being the closer.

    Just some correcting. Made is from the DR not Venezuela and Perez never played in the DSL those numbers were from the ACL.

    Still can't believe some Brewers fans wanted him in the 8th inning with Megill closing when he came off the IL. He and Clase are in a class of their own since they debuted. Best RP in baseball.

    Murphy trusted his gut leaving Montas in 2 batters too long and it worked out. Didn't work out the second time he tried leaving Koenig in too long.

    This pitcher for Delmarva is a big boy. He makes @Joseph Zarr's old favorite Jakob Brustoski look svelte in comparison.

    It's hard to tell with the camera angle from RF but Woodward looked pretty nasty that inning. If I had to choose a single word to describe how his pitches looked I would say tight

    From national level evaluators absolutely. Nobody was getting near the hype than Made has gotten. Kiley even listed Luis Pena as inside his Top 150 which is also probably more hyped/higher ranking than any of those previous 3 when they were still in the DSL

    Agreed. It's also extremely nice getting public statcast data for AAA. Hopefully someday we will have statcast data for all the minor leagues.

    Sadly DSL Brewers 1 lost another one today. Winning 3-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th in a 7 inning affair and we had a blown save and ended up losing 4-5 in the 8th inning.

    He has just had some very clear adjustment periods. He struggled in RF for about a month then was absolutely lights out (yes even including that play in Miami that had like 1% catch probability). He's now going through those same adjustments in LF where frankly he looks totally out of sorts at the moment.

    Which I suppose is possible, but that would be a bit bizarre considering Perkins was being used as basically a weak side platoon bat since Mitchell was called up.

    At this point if he doesn’t debut in Carolina it would be a disappointment. Brewers have started lesser prospects coming out of the DSL in Carolina like Lara and Yophery. Luis Pena seems like a pretty good chance of starting in Carolina as well.
