    MLBPA's offer included a much stronger share of local media money. There wasn't a number specified so I doubt it's an even split but it would be bigger than it currently is. They also had the competitive integrity tax as well if teams were below $150M in payroll.

    That's CBT payroll. The Brewers CBT payroll this year is around $140M so nowhere near $50M below that floor. That proposal also included sharing of all media including local media. The Brewers would be getting a sizeable increase in revenue if local media was evenly shared like much larger than $30M

    MLB owners are not willing to share revenue like other leagues until they open up their books and share it with the MLBPA. Until that happens it's not a serious offer from MLB.

    I think Dinges needs to fix his demeanor more than anything if he wants to stay at catcher. Watching him he seems to be very demonstrative and emotional behind home plate. Kind of PCA-esque in that regard. That stuff just can't fly at C. C need to be very even keeled handling a pitching staff.

    I just don't know how long they are going to keep doing this thing. The command is showing basically zero signs of improvement.

    The reducing FA to 5 years is only for players over 30 years old so when someone 30+ hits 5 years service time they would be a FA after the year not 6 like it normally is. That feels like a very fair proposal. Also their proposal did include eliminating the QO and penalty for signing FA but it also followed that with increased benefits for lower revenue clubs who lose players to FA - Elimination of the qualifying offer as well as the penalties for Clubs that sign free agents - Increased benefits for lower revenue Clubs who lose players to free agency

    Turang has in fact never challenged a pitch call. Gary has challenged 16. The rest of the team has challenged 18 combined.

    I know the topic of projection systems and how they view the Brewers has been a pretty hot topic for fans. Dan over at fangraphs who does the ZiPS stuff wrote an article today trying to diagnose where ZiPS has gone wrong with the Brewers.     Sounds like Uribe was telling the truth though maybe a bit of an exaggerated truth? Marmol did admit to pointing at his ribs so in that sense what he said was true but seems unlikely that Marmol was doing it every time Contreras and Yelich stepped to the plate. Considering Uribe was in the bullpen when this stuff happened, I imagine he got second hand information between the game on Monday and Tuesday and that second hand information might have been a bit exaggerated.

    Willson Contreras has been like this everywhere he's been. That's not a Cardinal thing. It's a Willson Contreras thing. He was like that with Chicago and like we saw this year he's still like that in Boston.

    Uribe has a long track record of this type of stuff. He's been suspended multiple times across multiple levels for starting fights. He's an extremely emotional player. He's exaggerated things in the past like his explanation of the Siri situation two years ago. How is someone like that supposed to be a reliable source? It's supposed to be believable because the Cardinals did bad things 20+ years ago? La Russa has been gone for 15 years now. We don't need to pretend it's the same org it used to be. And I'd also add if what he said was actually true, how is egging them on the right thing to do in that situation? Would that not make it way more likely for them to actually throw at a player tomorrow or in the future? Basically nothing he said makes much sense at all but people are trusting him because he wears a Brewers jersey and don't want to admit the Brewers did something bad or wrong.

    You and @Brewcrew82 need to get the stories straight. You're telling me that this happened tonight during the inning Uribe was pitching. He's telling me this happened yesterday. Which is it?
