  1. I nearly sold AMD at 360 because I thought it was expensive and AVGO at 400. I waited a couple weeks and sold AMD at 515 and AVGO at 470 going into the print. I didn't think we'd see them dump like they have(mostly AVGO) I just didn't see the room for growth. I'm still all in on NVDA, TSM and buying AMZN (Mainly for my kids funds as I expect them to be the 10T market cap in the future if not first, then 2nd after NVDA and perhaps replacing NVDA). I don't see how they don't ultimately become the biggest winners. They win in every way when it comes to AI. Biggest thing I did was buy the 30 year when it got up to ~5.2%. Got it from 5% to 5.15%. Hoping that in a couple years those rates will be down to 2.5-3% and I can still sell them for a nice return while also collecting a little cash in the meantime. But NVDA going down on the earnings they had a few weeks ago... if this was an AI bubble, they'd be a lot more expensive coming off arguably the best quarter ANY company has EVER had(and if it wasn't, next Quarter almost certainly will be and it looks like that will continue to be the case successfully at least through F'28). Hell, they're going to be a value stock in another quarter or two!
  2. I can't imagine anyone outside of Northwest Indiana(you know, the home of the Bears) would disagree. Reed I think beats Doubs in the open market, even with what looks to be an incredible WR class next year(makes me wonder if that played some role in these two re-signing now).
  3. Easy Harold. This isn't an obituary.... we don't even know what happened yet.
  4. How are they alienated? Because they can't afford the best seat in the house? They still can't. The Suites are... MUCH nicer. So what? It's a businesses job to make money, not make everyone feel good. And 245 is... a lot for a game, but I'd be willing to bet, for seats directly behind home with those amenities, we'd still be among the cheapest in Baseball(maybe the As temporarily cheaper). 15 bucks for a beer is more offensive than a 245 price on seats down right behind the plate.
  5. Lets see if we can't add Biloxi to that list soon!
  6. I don't think this impacts Payne in the least bit. Payne is a long, 6'2 lefty with a lot of projection left, hitting for power, drawing walks, did I mention hitting for power, great speed, better plate discipline... I love Lara and think he could be an outstanding CFer, but Payne's got a much higher ceiling(lower floor also) but... why give up on him now? I mean, it'd be one thing if you waited until after this year when I think he'll be the Brewers biggest riser and he's being valued as a top 50 prospect, but... I'd much rather see him get some time in AA and see if he's our RFer of the future. Chourio/Lara/Payne? Payne MAY end up the best of those 3. Probably not going to take any bets on that, but he has as much upside as anyone in our system outside of Made and Pena IMO. I will take the Made extension however.
  7. I think the MOST I've seen you post in a period of time was about the trade of Hader. How trading our Closer mid-season hurt the team so bad and how you wonder what other impacts that had, did that lead to the Brewers pushing Stearns out(of course not)... But now when it comes to trading our closer mid-season(and Chad Patrick while we deal with a number of injuries to pitchers)... this is well thought out? I don't know what "doesn't follow a template" means, but... genuine conviction isn't always a good thing. Cults have genuine conviction.
  8. Front Row Amy? Huh... never heard of her. Any identifying characteristics you could give me, maybe I could watch closer and see if I notice her?
  9. I... edited it and shortened it as well! I DID kinda think we'd already mentioned this though!
  10. How? How is that comparing it to other WR deals? All people(around the league, Scouts, Players, the NFLPA) cares about is the NEW money, so it's 4/110.5. So really the only "Apples to Apples," is the extension and then the total value of the money remaining. They are two separate contracts. We're talking about how much money he has remaining on his deal and how much he had added to that. He had about ~5.5M remaining. From all reports(and the particulars could change) he got a 4/110.5M extension. That would mean the value of what he has LEFT on his deal... is 5/116. Again, still not the number people are looking at, I just don't get why you think this is an "Apples to Apples," comparison? I also don't believe people are citing the remaining contract, 5/116 to make the contract "look" any better or worse, it's just simply a fact. That's the remaining obligation the Packers have to him if he plays for 5 years. For example, Tee Higgins got a 4 year 115M extension. He was a 2nd rd pick like Watson. He was franchised twice prior. So is his deal really a 6 year 161.8M with ~90M GTD because you're adding the value of what he'd already been paid? Of course not. I'm really not understanding why adding last years signing bonus should be added to this years extension. The TOTAL amount owed to him, ie, still to be paid is... relevant only insofar as it tells you what he is still owed over the next 5 years and it's primarily Packers fans that care. The rest of the league is probably indifferent.
  11. I don't think they're making it look any type of way. He had 5.5M left to be paid out to him. I think to compare it to other signings, 5/115.5 is the "Apples to Apples" comparison. You may be assigning too much... importance on people trying to make it "look discounted." I don't think this changes things either way, it's simply what was owed to him yet and what they're agreeing to pay him moving forward. "This year" may have cost us 11M, but we paid the majority of it in 2025. I also don't think many people are focusing on the 5th years money just as was the case with Love(Which was counted the same way as this one).
  12. Tonight, hopefully tomorrow, drop the suspension... good to go.
  13. I was... debating this. The argument was we'd be "lucky" to get him for Made, Pena+ 3 other prospects along the lines of Fischer, Letson and... I don't recall who the 5th was. I do NOT agree we'd be lucky, but I do think... he's the one guy on here that I'd give up ELITE prospects for. Not Made. I don't think I'm trading Made for anyone in MLB save for some fantastical Ohtani trade where the Dodgers assume the deferred years. That trade would add SO much money to the Brewers... you'd probably be able to increase your payroll by 100M(Dodgers are getting an additional 200M in sponsorship deals... assume the Brewers would get 1/4th of that with the biggest name in Baseball Globally). But that's a silly idea as it'd never happen. This is SUCH an intellectually dishonest take of what he said. They have basically the same approach as the Packers have... which is to be competitive year after year... they just don't have the finances. You sound like if they don't do what the Bucks did(just to keep it all local)... they just got lucky and guessed right on players. No, the goal is OBVIOUSLY to win a World Series. He was articulating why he's not chasing the CC Sabathia type trades, NOT saying they're goal isnt' to win a World Series. It's that stupid comment Attanasio made. It's too easy to... twist that into "we're not here to win a World Series," rather than making a point of how hard it is to compete with the fiscal disadvantages and saying they're trying to keep the team competitive year after year, put a good product on the field within their means and... OBVIOUSLY the goal is to win one.
  14. Oh C'MON!!! I've been saying this for a MONTH... nothing! Someone else says it right after the last time I said it and they get credit! I'm FURIOUS😁 Actually, it came up right after I said I think he'd been too good recently and we'd have to wait for him to start to revert back, THEN I'd trade for him. As for Skubal, I do not believe for a moment his salary(pro-rated THIS year) is too much... and if it is out of the Brewers budget, then I'd agree with the many, many fans who irrationally call Attanasio cheap. I don't believe he is. I absolutely believe the Brewers would be willing to pay the money, 18M or whatever it may be... to add Skubal to the rotation. Likewise, I believe they'd pay Bobby Witt Jr prices... in salary. The Brewers are conservative... but if you believe Forbes, they operate with about 20-24M in net revenue. I think that's a fair number. I also believe Attanasio when he says the money is there to add ANY player for this year...though not explicitly this year, he said it the year Soto was traded, there was no package they couldn't absorb in one season.
  15. This would be... the exact type of draft I'd like to see. I'd even be fine with another prep arm in Rd 2. But they all seem... pretty expensive. Not the types you get any discounts on... maybe the types you pay a bit more on. Setting aside my ignorance on their asking prices, I love that trio.
  16. No... I guess I was thinking if he doesn't show a lot of improvement with a new AD, he'll likely get fired and then it's that much further out before Badger Football is relevant again. I would have felt great about the Badgers in this current B1G up until maybe Covid. Now it's just painful to watch.
  17. Yes, it was 6.07M Signing bonus and then spread out with the void years, that probably got incorporated into the new deal, just added what he was due this year. But he would have also had dead money after this year with the additional void years. I'd assume that got rolled into the new deal. Nah, I think Kraft is pretty much a lock as well. Though he is also coming back from ACL. They may want to make sure he's all the way back before they give him... 4 years and 75M or whatever it may be.
  18. I could also be putting more weight on what the Rams have done. They went 7 years without a 1st rd pick, traded for Cooks, multiple 1sts for Ramsey, Stafford and then a 2nd+3rd for Von Miller. But then you have Jamal Adams, Tunsil, Tyreke Hill went for multiple 1sts, Minkah Fitzpatrick, DeForest Buckner. Davante Adams was traded for a 1st. Russel Wilson... though a lot of those are older than 5 years. Guys like Parsons or even Myles Garrett getting traded are probably a bit more rare. If you're talking about multiple 1sts, then it's probably just been a handful of defensive players.
  19. You have a pretty good idea when Super 2 is. June is probably safe, but June 10th would clear any Super 2 going back the last several years.
  20. Did Anderson leave with an injury? I only saw Hall... but I have exactly been glued to this game.
  21. Are you following this conversation? I'm saying it doesn't matter if you bring up a couple young guys at the same time. They don't need to be staggered.
  22. Yeah. I have zero problem with doing that. And bringing them up earlier would defeat the whole super 2 purpose... What difference does it make if you replace Perkins with Lara and bring up Jett Williams for... one of the other two in Rengifo or Ortiz(Rengifo would make more sense).
  23. I kinda just thought they were waiting until they cleared Super2 to bring up Jett, Lara... maybe wait for Pratt to stay hot. You don't really want to send him back down after you call him up.
  24. I haven't been thrilled with Fickell(to say the least), but I REALLY hope he doesn't get fired. I'm going to hold out hope he can turn it around until the last possible minute... and things are looking up with this class.
  25. I thought they gave him an 11M extension and like 6M(a little over 6) and added void year. I don't think his cap number for this year was more than... again, 5.5 maybe a bit more(maybe with workout and roster bonuses, a little higher). But then I guess he would have had a dead cap hit with the void years. So... not sure if that's factored into the extension or not. Either way, you have him for 5 years and minimal GTD money left and this is clearly what they had in mind when they extended him last year. If he came back strong, they could sign him to another extension. The void years were 30M so they could sign him within 12 months... otherwise they would have had to wait until the season started.
