  1. In 20 games with the Mudcats, Luis Lara now has twice as many walks as he does strikeouts (16:8 walks to strikeouts). I had to do a double take when I saw that. Really exciting prospect.
  2. Biloxi’s offense sure has trouble getting anything going considering the talent in that lineup. Chourio’s batting average is going the wrong direction and his strikeouts are up again. Blah.
  3. Strange - the boxscore is showing it was Gray Jr.
  4. Not saying Quero should be the #1 prospect in baseball, but at what point does he belong in the same conversation as Chourio?
  5. There have been a lot of zeros in these box scores lately. Not much going on offensively throughout the entire organization.
  6. Robert Moore appears to be heating up and Luis Lara continues to impress. Guilarte also extended his on-base streak to 31 games.
  7. Time for Chourio to step up as the #1 prospect in all of baseball and help snap this losing streak for Biloxi.
  8. This could get ugly tonight. Thank goodness for basketball tonight in the likely event that it does.
  9. The Shuckers have walked nine times through five innings and have scored no runs. That’s not easy to do.
  10. Carolina’s offense went off tonight. Lara and Areinamo each with 4 hits including a homerun for Lara. A bunch of others with multiple hits including Guilarte.
  11. Should be really interesting with those guys coming off. Chourio is obviously #1 but then it gets weird and wild from there.
  12. Hard to believe we're middle of the pack in homeruns, considering we've gotten nothing out of Voit, Contreras and Winker in that department.
  13. Monterrey might be a better overall option. 2nd largest city in Mexico and is closer to the U.S. than Mexico City so travel wouldn't be as bad.
  14. Chourio had a good weekend so hopefully he's starting to heat up and Black has been good, but for the most part, there hasn't been a whole lot to get excited about.
  15. And many people don't visit Vegas in the middle of summer, which makes up the bulk of the baseball season. I'll be interested to see what kind of crowds they get in June, July and August every season.
  16. We'll see but I believe they've played Wiemer in CF on days when Mitchell doesn't start.
  17. Yeah Wiemer moves to CF and Frelick/Perkins plays RF.
  18. I think this is spot-on. As a side note, really sucks for Mitchell who just cannot stay healthy. If you follow the minor leagues closely, you’ll know that Mitchell was hurt a ton.
  19. Hoping the same for Valerio!
  20. Frelick or Wiemer will almost certainly be up in mid-April once service time is no longer an issue. There's no way they're going to roll with Miller and Anderson in the outfield for an extended period of time.
