  1. I'm enjoying not being able to see the awful pitching and how this team has underperformed all season. I know I'd be throwing a lot more things and just generally more upset. Glad I saved the money and didn't get the EI package this year.
  2. They didn't even need to get to that point. They could have traded for him at the end of July when there was actually a glimmer of hope of the postseason. A small, minuscule glimmer, but a glimmer nonetheless.
  3. I was seriously tempted to get it when I saw it in my local HEB (Texas version of Pick and Save, but much better) today, but I thought better of it.
  4. The ultimate question must be asked.....if you ingest Silver Spring Beer 'n Brat Mustard, will all your WOAHs be SOLVDD?
  5. So....the unknown about Soup is when he's actually going to have a good outing.....the unknown about Meltdown is when he will go Meltdown.....worth the gamble, in my eyes.
  6. That is dumb. I think that there would be much less traffic issues if people actually followed the traffic rules. Drive in the right hand lane, PASS IN THE LEFT!
  7. I got one better. We get automated calls for people who apparently had our numbers before....they say "This call is for (some garbled, typically Mexican name)....if you are not (said person), please hang up. REALLY?
  8. Did ya use the whizzinator?
  9. Actually, many times, the Great Value brand is actually comparable, if not better. Now obviously, if you're wanting to eat healthy, you buy fresh or frozen fruits or vegetables, as opposed to canned fruits or vegetables.
  10. I guess if my wife and I didn't eat meat, we could maybe do $80 every 2 weeks. But, I like meat a whole lot, so we spend about $150 every 2 weeks.
  11. The wife and I went from the mid-range Directv package to the "family" package due to trying to save money and because we have a 4 month old baby girl. No sports channels, no USA, no TNT, pretty much what we've got is the local channels, Food Network, National Geographic and all the Nick and Disney known to man. So, when I do watch non-internet TV, It will be The Dog Whisperer, Iron Chef, and all the High School Musical and Hannah Montana I can take! Woo-hoo!
  12. When should we sign Fielder long term? When Scott Boras allows him to, which is a quarter past never.
  13. Alcohol doesn't help you speak gooder.
  14. Brewtacular, the best way to describe it is life-changing. Not only financially, but just changes your perspective on life and what is truly important. My little girl is 4 months old now, and it's been amazing to watch her grow, and watch her personality develop. It's unbelievable. Just take it all in, enjoy it, and write down as much as you can, take pictures and video. My wife laughs at me because she thinks I'm like the paparazzi taking pictures. But, why not?
  15. What we have learned from this is that Jesus doesn't save.......the baseball season, but maybe Narveson will.
  16. Redman, Patterson....throwing crap against the wall and seeing what sticks?
  17. And this is news? Really?
  18. Who would you rather have today, Pudge or Kendall? I'd take Pudge.
  19. A buddy of mine who is a principal at a private school in Arizona said that Bill picked up a student on Thursday in a white lamborghini. Seems like Bill is trying to get away from baseball for a bit. Hopefully that helps clear up his head and refocus him.
  20. Wow, now if the hitting and pitching can keep up like this for the rest of the season, there may just be hope!
  21. I thought Burns was a bad pitcher....THIS Burns is actually pitching pretty well!
  22. In a word....nope. In more than a word, there is no possible way, short of major injuries happening to the teams ahead of them in the hunt, and having Yo, Parra, Looper, Soup and Smith (or whoever they throw out there) turn into the second comings of Cy Young, Sandy Koufax, Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan and Bob Gibson for the rest of the season, and having all the hitters clicking at the right time, that they can catch up and win the wild card.
  23. If I can live to be 94 and still be playing music, I'll be a happy man. Rest in Peace Les. You lived an amazing and full life.
  24. I highly enjoy Arby's curly fries and Whataburger's fries.
  25. I like it. Would rather have seen them acquire Weathers instead of Vargas, but what's done is done. Good bullpen help for this year, and hopefully a help for next year. Now, if only we could miraculously find consistent starting pitching!
